  1. And now it's fixed. Took it to ADAS Calibration Services https://share.google/BY72y2GnDxnuKK9vn in Bury St Edmunds who managed to get the radar cover off, clear all the spider web etc and then used an Autel to recalibrate and reset. Very happy 😁
  2. Can confirm it's NOT an MOT fail, car passed today with no advisories and still with front assist sensor impaired message. 😁 Taking it tomorrow to an ADAS specialist to get sensor looked at, then it's for sale!
  3. Do I need to remove the bumper to get to the sensor? I presume the plastic cover is just that, a plastic cover? Thanks 👍
  4. Looks like the bumper has to come off, handy! The error was intermittent but has been getting more frequent and now bongs every time, is it likely to be the radar broken or need calibration? Any way to check?
  5. I've scanned the car (Ancel BM700) but no fault codes. Display says actually says "sensor impaired" so presume its got something over the radar. I'll look at checking it when it stops raining!
  6. I've cleaned sensor to no avail. I'll pull the radar sensor and see if there's anything obvious and put an OBD scanner on it. I've looked through the MOT online and can't see anything it would fail on however I'm selling it soon so need to clear the message if I can. Thanks all
  7. Hi, Have a 21 Octy estate, winter makes the front assist not working bong come on, I'm taking for MOT next week, is it a failure item? It's intermittent but much worse in cold weather, blooming annoying! Thanks
  8. Mines fine, good car with easy 50mpg and enough poke to get along. Infotainment variable, connects Android Auto wirelessly but sometimes has Bluetooth issues. I'm happy with mine.
  9. For info, the 1st scanner was like the attached and the 2nd a Bluetooth one with Torque app
  10. Hi, Had the steering wheel and airbag off to change ignition barrel and I know I powered car up with airbag disconnected so I'm not surprised the air bag light is on and MFS says "airbag fault". My OBD scanner says no faults found as does a friend's one.... How can I reset the light please? Do I need VCDS or similar? Car is Fabia 1.2 tsi 2013
  11. Ok, it was the ignition barrel and I've changed it and it's working 😁 Now the airbag light is on but I'll raise a new post for that.
  12. Hi, sorry for long delay 🙂 I just have rear sensors Cheers
  13. Hi, Daughters 2013 Fabia 1.2 has an issue where you can turn key, unlock steering and power car on but sometimes you cannot turn to start engine. I've read this link ... but is her issue the same given it works 60% of the time? If it's the same, is the fault within the barrel itself? I can't strip it today as she needs it. Thanks Darren
  14. This works for me 99% of the time 👍
  15. Mine still does it, Skoda garage had a look but no fix. Skoda say it's about as expected.... Seems to be worse when it's colder.
  16. I've had this, most irritating.
  17. Yeah sorry I meant 1941 🤭 TBF 1941 has stopped the unit resetting every now and then but these sensors are very annoying...
  18. Have a 2020/70 SE 1st Ed estate, 1.5TSi. Often the PDC unavailable comes up when engaging reverse. It will always work if I switch car off and back on again. What's going on with it? Any ideas? I've recently gor the 1491 sw update but it's made no difference. Thanks
