I'm on my first ever auto with the DSG in my Octavia VRS diesel. Only have 1000 miles on it from new, but it's easily matching the fuel consumption of my BMW 120d manual (similar power to the VRS). Absolutely loving the gearbox so far. Mostly using it in the auto modes so far as using the paddles felt a big strange at first, but I've had a couple if great B road drives in manual mode now.

Mine saved my neck on Snake Pass last week. Hit a bad pothole but didn't think it had caused a problem. Was considering an overtaking manoeuvre when the tyre pressure light came on. Pulled over to find a massive tear in the sidewall. Hate to think what could have happened if I hadn't had the sensors.

I'm in a similar position. I have the same car (with 250 miles on the clock) and very much like the idea of a remap but I'm worried about the fact the ecu has to be physically tampered with. Would be just my luck if engine then went kaput!

As the title says really...I've got a new VRS CR DSG but thanks to the dealer telling me that it was no longer possible to get a Blackline (when apparently it was!), I don't have Sat Nav. There are lots of Amundsen's available on eBay, but I'd kind of like to know if these will be compatible with displaying the directions on the Maxidot. Thanks!

Picked up VRS estate yeterday and discovered the net in the spare wheel well. I was actually genuinely excited at the discover as I'd just been thinking that it would be handy to have one

Think you've probably hit the nail on the head there. I reckon the ordering system is a bit rubbish (not able to give any firm dates at any point during process!) and then the salesman doesn't want to be the one to phone me up and say its going to be delayed again. Not very amazing from a customer point of view though. Just want my car now, Blackline or not!

Thanks for the replies. I phoned a couple of other dealers and they said that they 'might' have some Blacklines in the spec that I wanted, but said I couldn't make a new order for one. Decided to just sit it out and get the car I've ordered now I've waited so damned long for it. The dealer really is hopeless at keeping us updated and I've had to chase constantly. Only now have I discovered the Track My Skoda website (the dealer said they didn't tell me about it because it isn't accurate!) and I can see that my car is 'cleared for shipping at Emden'. Anyone know which ships I should be spying on for the Emden / Grimsby route?

I ordered an Octavia VRS diesel estate DSG at the beginning of November. I wanted a black line but was told they had all been sold out. I was also told that there were no cars in the system that matched my requirements (eg, estate/DSG/diesel either black line or no further options). The car has been pushed back a couple of times and I'm now roughly expecting another months wait. I've just come on here to find out if other people are waiting, only to see people talking about ordering the exact Blackline that I wanted in the last few days and getting them delivered almost straight away. Before I go and cancel my order in fury, could someone let me know if I've got the wrong end of the stick or whether I'm paying the same price for a car I've waited 3 months for as others are getting with £2k of extras who have only just ordered?!
