  1. I have done this it takes ages to get the wires out with a small wire as they are difficult to remove. My windows play up I think it is a Fabia thing and I have never found a fix only summertime when it doesn't rain. Take your time and loads of photos.
  2. Firstly I must thank Wino for the info that spurned me on to have a go at replacing this and the fact that VW wanted £400 plus to do it plus it saved a spares or repair project for Ebay. It is a stupid decision to mount such a component which is likely to fail on such a strange unit. If yours has gone, give it a go. I think Fabia 1 have a different numbered relay but mine is a 2 and the relay is Omron G8NW-2U 12V DC. They do look the same. I ordered from China but it is marked Japan !!. Sorry no pics but Wino has some. Photo the unit blocks before you pull them off as the unit is tucked away on the rhs of the drivers footwell. It comes apart really easily. Wino shows where the relay is and with some Desoldering wire, soldering iron and solder it's a 15 minute job replacing it. I can't thank him enough so don't be put off. I should have done pics but he has already done some.
  3. Does anyone know of someone who can repair the relay on the above module as my wipers have stopped and the motor is all ok. Part number 6Q1937049F, Siemens 5WK48217 from a 2007 MK2 Fabia 1.4 TDI. Also if I buy a second hand one can it only be reprogrammed by a main dealer.
  4. Is the green and black a feed for the park position?
  5. Did you manage to sort this as I have the same problem. The front washers squirt but no wiper sweep. I have had the motor out and it works The brown wire is earth , the next wire -green black did nothing, white and black is slow, and green and white is fast.
