As title, can one locking the car doors on a 2013 Skoda Fabia vRS without enabling the Alarm? Asking for a friend - who wants to be able to leave her precious canine in the car while she goes into Tescos ;)

I am specifically looking for a "small(ish)" PHEV. I don't want a SUV or some large car (e.g. the Octavia). A car the size of a Fabia would be ideal, very occasionally I need to carry a lot of stuff, e.g. on holiday in Europe. For local journeys a "Plug-in" is ideal. For longer journeys I don't want an EV while charging is so unpredictable due to the shortage of facilities in the UK. As it happens, I visited a local Skoda dealership yesterday and spoke to a Salesman who was both helpful and honest (unusual!) He knew of the VW Golf eHybrid and GTE and said that he was not aware of any plans by Skoda to release anything similar. He was very sceptical about the practicalities of EVs, despite the Government's plan to penalise dealers for not selling as many as they should; he said that EVs had an awful resale value! I do know that the leads to the plugs have at some time been changed. How does on (visually) tell whether "Audi R8 coil packs" are fitted?

What is the currently favoured spark plug to use as a replacement on the vRS TwinCharger engine? The Denso -SKJ20CR-A8 seems to be in VERY short supply and where available costs a fortune.
