As title, can one locking the car doors on a 2013 Skoda Fabia vRS without enabling the Alarm?

Asking for a friend - who wants to be able to leave her precious canine in the car while she goes into Tescos ;)

There is a button at the drivers door side B pillar to press to disable the alarm for when pets left in or car on a transporter, ferry etc. You should be able to find the Youtube vid, or the several threads over the years on here asking the same question.
