I have two bikes at the moment (hopefully a third soon) Have a custom identiti krisis sl that I use for general larking about on, this is ridiculously light and great for everything Bike no 2 is a giant glory 2011 that i got at a crackjng price, is a downhill bike not much use for out else (im to lazy to ride up hills) Hoping to get a 27.5er winter time as I need to build my fitness up more and want to get into enduro riding, Any dh'ers on here?

My car went in to have some damage repaired the other week and when I got it back it had 35 miles more on it, when I questioned the garage owner he said that's there standard test drive when questioned why it was so long his reply was don't be so nosy....great customer service, albeit was a sole garage but still....will be intresting to see how many more miles are on the car when it comes back from a main dealer in a few weeks when it goes in for corrosion to be sorted

hi all, i know this has been covered but ive read and read and are having a thick moment but, i need to top up the oil in my vrs (BLT engine code) just till i get the oil changed, i have a tub off this oil in the garage from my mums fabia; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_498809_langId_-1_categoryId_165581 does the vw50700 cover the vw50501 needed for the pd engines?

You could always take the adjuster ring out and leave the threaded part in for it to sit on? Should get a couple extra mm off lows

so i was looking for the source of a rattle today (didnt find it) but did hear a squeaking noise coming from the alternator area. anyone have any idea what it might be? is it the alternator pulley? or the aux belt tensioner? many thanks in advance! p.s. can post a video if needed

one of my friends has a 525d and struggles to keep up with me on spirted drives on b roads at 7 in the morning, the case of "its not what you drive but the way you drive it comes in to play

i get this a lot not sure whether or not its the fact i'm a young lad driving a reasonably quick car, i also drive up and down to Scotland every week and don't see the point in flying down the a1 as its full of speed cameras and quite often get stuck behind lorries which i don't mind. often get business men type drivers in there German barges sit right on my arse, and if im stuck behind a lorry ill leave a fair distance in case the lorry brakes and they try get there a6's and 5 series in this gap, they soon get a shock when the road gets twisty and they cant keep up

spoke to the garage today, they have sent the estimate of to the insurance company but have also ordered all the parts and paint (lady said due to it being black magic it had to be bought from skoda as they couldn't mix it up apparently:')'), she didn't say for definite its been fixed, but im assuming since they have the parts on order it will be getting fixed, she also said hopefully ill have it back by next friday!

So the worst happened yesterday when some stupid woman decided she didn't want to go round the corner she started going round and drove in to me as I went to pull put the junction:( damage to the car isn't to bad (damage to bumper and wing, loud hissing noise to I think could be intercooler or boost pipes knackered and punctured tyre) On the positive side the bumper needed re spraying anyway just have to pay my stupid excess for it! Car was collected today by the garage and the guy said it shouldn't get written off as long as there's no suspension damage, so fingers crossed, If it does get written off it'll be the end of my Skoda ownership for now:(

if yours is a blt you get a blt specific egr delete kit, if its an asv you dont have to worry about that

your eml will come on no matter what engine code, blt is harder to be mapped i believe, but on a 53 plate it will probably be a asz engine

wanted a clio 197, parents said it was to powerful for me as a first car i then test drove one anyway and hated it, went to the local skoda garage and saw my Vrs test drove it absoloutely loved, parents where happy as it wasnt as powerful as the clio (but now its getting remapped) so i ended up buying it, oh and i get 55 mpg and insurance was less than 700 at 19. WIN WIN!

my car only only gets used on the motorways really with minimal round town miles being down, it does get blast over the moors once or twice a month when my friends and i go for an early morning run, so hopefully it should last me a few months till i can get a sachs or helix smf put in

So, I'm getting my vrs mapped in the next few weeks, Car has done 71k how long can I expect the clutch and turbo to live? Or is it a case of how I drive it?

so, not much has happened with the car lately as i have had neither time or money to do anything with it, car recently hit 71k on the clock, due to driving back and forth from home to Scotland every week, so will be getting the cam belt and water pump done shortly, the next mods i do will be as follows; remap (this is getting done in the next few weeks) ap coilovers and RARB new wheels of which i haven't decided i will then take it from there and see where it ends up. as always thanks for reading! heres a few photos of the car on the way back malton big breakfast meet

Hi all, Not sure if this is the right place to but this but anyway I'm looking at getting mk1 fab vrs remapped shortly, have looked at getting it done at falcon performance. Has anyone had any experiences with them? Or can anyone recommenced anywhere else in the north east that have good reviews and can map my car? Many thanks, Callum
