Looks like another incorrectly registered Rapid! If so, you'll need a letter from Skoda. Amend section 4 of your V5 and post to the DVLA with the letter explaining the situation, with correct model.

Mark, additionally - on the other end of the bonnet - the corner near the driver's side of the windscreen, it sits up more than the corresponding corner...

These cars can be incorrectly registered with the DVLA... I know of one!

A sound car but a surprising area for cost-cutting IMO. I guess any area is fair game, especially those out of sight. Think of the mpg and smile! A colleague is looking at a Range Rover Sport and we don't earn a fortune. Ouch!

Well I've checked my 1.6TDi engine and it does have a black plastic cover. I'd be narked if I was one of those who didn't. Car registered 03/2013. When was yours?

If anyone's Rapid on here matches mine for asymmetry then I might live with it Billy, but if not then I'm tempted to ask the dealer the question.

Well comparing the two I've got to say that your bonnet and grill meet more symmetrically than mine. I like my car, just curious about other rapids. Cheers.
