  4. Yeah mine recently got cross threaded by a complete oik doing the service! (me). So out with the old sump and in with the new, job done. And yes, its very common!
  5. Ahh yeah it doesnt affect the way it drives at all, so i'm sure it must be the same kit, LUKs rings a bell. Cheers
  6. Hi everyone, recently (2 months ago) had a replacement gearbox fitted along with a new clutch and dmf kit. It all works fine but have had the following issues: 1. Since it was fitted there has been a slight wobble/jitter at idle as engine warms up (raise the revs by 50rpm and it goes away). Goes away completely when warm. 2. But once warm, there is a clattery/chattery noise during slow speed (1,2 and 3) gear changes as the revs drop whilst clutch is disengaged. At first it only had the idle issue but i thought it would go away as it 'bedded in', But the gear change noise then arose and wont go away. I had a few issues with the garage in past (fitted cheap parts that broke within months and always get the feeling i'm being fobbed off). So im wondering do i go back to them and get them to investigate and change parts for better ones? This could take a while and end up costing me if its a gearbox issue. Or is this just normal?? Anyone experienced this with cheap dmf's?? Thanks in advance
  7. Should the cap have some kind of seal in it? as mine doesnt and i can now see watermarks and dampness around the cap and underneath the tank where its dripped down!
  8. i've just been topping it up with a bit of water atm, but yeah it looks pink and cloudy! and definitely looks low in the bottle each time the sensor light comes on
  9. True yeah I'll have a look at it tomorrow thanks
  10. Noooo haven't done that :/ ahhh ok I could give that a go I guess!
  11. Hi guys, it all started on a track day, there was steam coming out around the expansion tank. I then topped it up and drove home. A few days of normal driving later, it happened, but no steam or signs of leaks. And a few times more. It has just happened again after not happening for a while, I did push the the car a little more than normal, only 5-10mph faster and a few seconds of full throttle over 30 miles. The coolant light comes but there's not signs of overheating or stuttering. The oil looks fine and so does the coolant! Any ideas? Could it just be the expansion with a slow leak?
  12. They look alright though! i got a quote from ecp earlier whilst i was there and it was gonna be more expensive
