  1. Morning guys

finally got my Cr VRS remapped yesterday with the DSG and wow what a difference much nicer drive alot smooth and the power delivery is brilliant... i was kind of expecting it to be a little punchy although you read people say that the PD engine is punchy after map..

but the way the thing gavers speed now is amazing just makes me feel it should of always been that powerful.. the pull from 40-80 is very impressive...

the dsg map is great gear changes far more precise and the full manual mode on paddle is great

i have taken videos of the car in drive and sport from 40-80 mph with standard map and i will upload some with stage 1 i drive and sport so you can see the difference

very happy with the result  :D  :D  :D

  2. You going to get launch control activated?

Mine already has lanch control as standard if you go into sport turn off traction control and put foot on brake plant the a accelerator down release brake and away you go... if you do this in drive the clutch will bite but in sport as above it doesn't not engage until the brake is released..

But looking forward to dsg map as they say completely changes the car

  3. Is that ~300 pound mark for any particular brand of remap?

    Or is the Harding one?

I suspect it may come down to what we call the "Australia Tax" ... a lack of competition and an abundance of people with spare cash results in absolutely silly prices on all sorts of things.

Thats a revo map and 350 for sharks

  4. JR,

Do you remember how much your Harding Performance DSG remap cost?

Volkspower in Melbourne is currently quoting $1,500 for the basic DQ200 remap.

Which seems like a lot - Harding's own website is listing $1,250 .... which still seems like a lot.

Blimey that's alot here they charge around 300 pound mark

  5. Glitches happen from time to time in DSG. Had an issue the other day, but it came down to the drivers side break caliper sticking, thus confusing the gearbox. Back in the garage again now, and then back in for new shocks and starter issue. Already on first name terms with the mechinics

Oh dear mate not good.. mine was in skoda not long ago just general maintenance and health check... just makes you worry little has missed a beat since so fingers crossed. its being remapped next month with the gearbox so hopefully be ok

  6. Just quick question has anyone with a dsg experience this issue that happened today. Was doing 60 coming to a roundabout in 6 gear in auto slowing down car was in 3rd by this point and as I went to pull away in 3rd just revd like it was in natural.... so switch to manual and then back and off I went again??

    Anyone experienced this

    Thanks

  7. They'd touch, only if you had the wheel turned round enough either direction where the tip of the extension is closest to either stalk.

For me, it's a non-issue. I don't activate my window washers or flash my headlights whilst taking a corner...

well that is very true i cant say ive ever done that before.. i think i will purchase some then.. i havent got an issue just my wife
