  1. Actually I just locked my golf and they didn't come on. I'd say the going home lights are enabled when you park the car and lock it.

Because I have to go drive mine somewhere and park it to see that I'll do it tomorrow and report back. I'm pretty sure it'll be enabled.

I found out that you need auto lights because the other day my lights were set off the auto option and when I unlocked the car, I wondered why they didn't light up and it was because the dial wasn't on 'auto'.

  2. Sorry I don't have a picture at the moment, it's too dark to take one now but I have the light sensor installed on my car. At the moment they only work for unlocking the car however when I take my car in I will ask them to enable the coming home lights. The maxidot does not have the option, I know because my golf mark 6 did have the option so I know where to look.

The only pictures I have are: http://imgur.com/a/YdkNu

On the picture of the front of my car, zoom in and look at the rear view mirror. You can just about see the sensor below it.

  3. I will enjoy it! Hopefully I'll get some better pictures of it soon.

I must say that despite some other materials around the cabin, the steering wheel feels excellent and looks just the same! In my opinion, worth the upgrade! The stock options don't do the car justice, I added most of the options and it's definitely a nice place to be; sitting in the drivers seat.

  4. So I pick up my brand new rapid sport in rallye green on the 3rd of September, and I can't wait!

I bought pretty much every optional extra on it so apparently it's going to take a while to go over them.

Who would like to see some pictures when I get it back home?

  6. Lovely spec mate. I'm jealous now the Sport is available in different colours. I would have probably gone for race blue.

A bit naughty of Skoda to market it as limited edition to create demand and then decide that it isn't limited edition anymore!

    Oh well

    Sent using my right thumb

My thoughts exactly! Although a bit of a pain for you guys who got the limited edition models I am very happy I can pick other colours. They should have changed something in the styling between the limited edition models to now what they call the "sport" spec.

In fact, I wouldn't have gone with the sport model if I couldn't change the colour. Something about having to clean it all the time just puts me off...

I only went to the dealership last week and they didn't even know you could change anything on the sport!

  7. I'm off to take a test drive on Wednesday and looking to buy a rapid sport. I liked the look of it and the price, in the showroom, the other week. When I saw they were making them in other colours and you can add more options I thought there's nothing stopping me now.

If just like to know how long it took you guys to get your brand new rapid? I just want to see what I can expect on a turnaround considering this is also my first ever brand new car.

Especially if you bought one in the last month of so and have been given an expected delivery date.

    Here's my spec I built: http://cc-cloud.skoda-auto.com/CarCard/54867072
