I have a fabia estate. The dog guard is to stop the dogs from going into the boot. They go in the back seat with a dog hammock. This goes from headrest to headrests so they can't fall off etc. Still got to reinforce it as 2 doberman puppies tend to over come most things. Would like to make a front seat hammock if possible for when my basset is on the front seat.

Try penertrating oil instead of wd 40. Plus gas or similar. Apply it a few times preferable before work starts.

Sometimes worth using a small mirror or take a photo and studying it to see how things are fixed on if doing things blind. Study the picture and work out what you would need to do then go and play!

Need my fabia connected up to get the towing electrics coded in. Last time I needed a code the vw dealer was cheapest. Where's best to go or any one local to yeovil or Taunton who can do it. I do have the codes to change.

Waxole if applied with a compressor seems to cover well. No thinning and no warming. The probe they supply with a nail in the end is pants though.

Guess easiest way is to put an endoscope into the door via the black rubber thing between door and a post. Will see what colour wires I need to find.

Sometimes even a high enough curb to drive up is enough to get clearance under a car. But best not to do when raining as you will be in the gutter.

I was just going to fit a couple of small leds off the main light. When I got my bohemia just had the one bulb. Since got the earlier version with the map lights. Going to convert the 3 bulbs to led as well. If you need the lights on in the back open the drivers door.

Looking for a vehicle specific towing electrics for my fabia estate. Only specific ones are from Germany and they say lhd only. Is there a difference or do I try and see what would fit from another car?

Would like dash ones. Fitted a front one instead of the ashtray in front of gear stick. Only about £10 on ebay.

I don't even have red lights in the door. Think they down spec'ed things. Thought the bohemia was higher spec. Just fitted the interim light with the earlier one with map lights etc.

Thanks for your replies. Was hoping to ger a part number for a loom. don't like scotch locks. Are any of the other models interchangable with the plug in looms? Also its a March 2007 so towards the end of the mark1's. Was a demo first so guess was still up to date! Do they need any coding?

I have just got a black met bohemia. Alloys and "sports" seats. tinted windows etc. 1.9TDi, no badge on the back though to say it is.

Hi I have a 2007 estate 1.9tdi. How is the best way to wire in the towbar? Not too bothered about 13 pin as I think more for trailer towing than caravaning.

[Adding things or updating. and seat covers]

Hi just got a 2007 1.9tdi estate. Is there any cabling which can be used to add things ie a power socket in the boot area? Electric mirrors etc? Guessing rear electric windows would be good but guessing bits needed from the elegance? Also I'm missing the ashtray inners, some places advertise for a drinks holder instead. Does it fit? Also drop down drink holders from either side of the stereo are these hard to come by etc?

Need to get fitted or semi tailered waterproof seat covers, are the semi tailored ones any good? Any makes recommended? Looked on ebay and hard to tell quality of material etc.
