  2. Hi folks i purchased a new Skoda Superb Sportsline back in March. I'm just getting round to selling the old winter wheels from my Skoda Superb MkII FL. i have a set of Dexent RE (Silver) Alloys (7.5x17, 5*112 ET48) which have 225/45VR17 (94V) winter tyres on them. One rim is damaged i must have hit a pothole and its pretty clear to see, the tyre looks ok but i am no expert!!!. (see photos for all wheels/tyres condition) i would like to think these are a good offer at £150 but would consider sensible offers. collection from chesterfield would be ideal but willing to travel say 20/30 miles to meet the buyer if need be.
  3. hi folks i wondered if any one could help. having taken delivery of my nice superb mkiii sportline i decided to look at a few tweaks. im having a problem with the road traffic signs mod. my hex-v2 vcds fro ross tech doesnt list the channels as the walk through but i think ive managed the most of it however i have a small problem. when activating the speed notification it seems to be always alarming as if its in a 30mph zone whether or not its recognised a 40, 50, 60 or 70 zone. any one got any ideas how to fix this please? hope you can assist......
  4. I also had to change byte 2 as well to the front/rear active. I tried all the settings in rosstech info but the one step which proved to be my undoing was resetting the head unit. DOH!
  5. hi vborovic, It was the sound system settings in the navigation section (37 controller I think) the new unit was set skoda sound system but to get it working I had to set it to no sound system. I followed advice from Rustynuts and popped my old unit back in, checked the coding and copied it. I replaced the new unit and copied the code across to the new unit. you have to remember to do a reset on the head unit by simultaneously pressing the two arrow buttons and the micrphone button. I missed that process to start with and was wondering why the coding didn't work. it always helps to read what vcds tells you in red wording..... ;-) hope that helps.
  6. hi folks, just to let you know I got it working thanks to your help and Rustynuts in particular. it was a coding issue as expected. appreciate all those who had input :-)
  7. vborovic thanks for your reply too. that info may prove very useful thanks a lot for that :-) I guess i'll need to just tinker with the various options. cheers, Carl.
  8. Hi langers2k, appreciate your reply. do you know what to look for in vcds or know anyone who would be able to help? I have pm'd rustynuts to see if he can assist me but not sure if there are others that can help?
  9. Hi there, just looking for some help. My original Columbus unit started playing up (constantly rebooting) so I purchased a new unit from an ebay outlet. The unit was sold as 100% tested and I have to say other than the lack of audio output it appears to be working as expected. Do I need to somehow code this new head unit into vcds? Any help and assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I'm due to go on holiday at the end of the week so would love to get this sorted for then. Thanks in advance, carl. BTW sorry if this has already been asked.
  10. Thanks Everyone for your feedback, I've been going through my iTunes library and converting the AAC files to MP3. It's a ball ache with a library of 19000 tracks [emoji45]. It's a good chance as well to sort the collection out with album art etc so it's time well spent. Though SWMBO may not be too chuffed [emoji2] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Wile7 which converter did you use? I found one but it's a laborious job doing it. My iTunes is a right mish mash of formats so it makes it a gamble when transferring to the Columbus if the tracks will play or not as the case maybe. Hope you can help Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks Gizmo68 for the very detailed feedback. I think I'll need to consult SWMBO to purchase that little lot. Thanks again , Carl. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Sorry to hijack the thread but Simbo do you have the details of the LED bulbs you bought? I'm interested to know as I'm thinking of doing mine. Thanks in advance, Carl. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks Devonutopia and ColinD. The link works fine. I am using tapatalk so that explains why I couldn't find it. Just need to talk to SWMBO to get financial clearance. Thanks again [emoji1] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I've been searching for days trying to find a link to join FREEDOM but seem to go around in circles. Can anyone help and point me in the right direction please. Want a few stickers and things to put on my MY14 Superb. I've been reading this forum for a while and there has been some invaluable help and insight on my relatively new purchase. Thanks in advance..... [emoji1] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
