  1. no worries mate, appreciate the replies. have a good one!
  2. cheers buddy. very much appreciated. typical! i don't suppose you have the part number at all? Thanks again
  3. Hi, due to sell the beloved 17 plate skoda superb this week and taking out the dog's seat belt it gets jammed....after a bit of "wiggling" the button has shattered....have looked into replacing to be quoted the whole seat belt unit has to be replaced and the part is £276.24 then £230 labour... I've tried every way of explaining that it's "just the button" but two main dealers are saying it's definitely the whole unit that needs doing. i appreciate it's an MOT fail and safety issue which is why I don't want to mess on with it or glue it waiting on 2 independent garages to come back with quotes but can anyone confirm it's the whole seat belt unit that needs replacing at all? thanks in advance
  4. to anyone else looking, here is the source of the pic, further down the thread the guy says the superb does not have the necessary HW. doh! Thread
  5. have this pic from another thread, but can't find the source, i'm sure i've seen it somewhere before, anyone have any joy on this? it's fuse #40 which in the manual is the sockets in the car as opposed to the boot (#30)
  6. Did you get any joy with this? I thought #30 was in the boot and #40 was inside the car.
  7. The guy I've dm'd you about will see it and tell you what needs to happen on spec on the day and give you a rough estimate but took a month or so to fit me in. Would definitely recommend him though.
  8. This cost me £400 back in 2019 at local body shop. The guy was awesome if you're near Newcastle. Insurance "approved body shop" quoted £4100... Felt like calling insurance fraud specialist on them.
  9. Can I ask what position you plugged your fuse into? Mine seems to be permanent on rather than switched on and I don't want to run down the battery. Tried mine in rear window heater but still seems always on!

  11. I thought the same. Don't think there's a difference.
  12. Most of these have a limit as well so will turn off if your battery is low and they're in "always live" location. If your camera has a parking mode they can come with two fuses. Just looking through pics now to find mine
  13. Yeah used a dashcam hardwire kit...can't find the one I bought but this is similar and comes with a piggy back Dash Cam Hardwire Kit, Micro USB Port, DC 12V - 24V to 5V/2A Max Car Charger Cable kit With Fuse for Dashcam, Low Voltage Protection (Micro USB and Fuse Kit) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0791BHYBW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ARjXBb0ERFWDF
