I only learnt that you could do this recently, when a family member had an accident in november, and the insurance company recommended repair still had not collected the car - complained to them saying i didnt want to get it repaired by them, and they suggested cash in leiu

there are lots of silver octavias being broken - you could get a cash in leiu settlement and repair yourself for cheaper if you wished.

cant you take the chip out of the key from the old car?

cant you just get a bumper for £50 and fit it on?

Hi I have a few of niggles with my octy that I'd like to resolve. - First of all, when you open any doors, the rear lights don't come on - is that normal or not? How can I change this? - Secondly, the heated mirrors don't work (its an elegance) - is this a common issue? does it have heated mirrors at all? - Is there supposed to be a bootlight? - If I was to upgrade the speakers - whats recommended? I have a JVC double din screen as the headunit. - Has anyone tried the moulded sub box? Thanks Kaz

well, the proof is in the pudding - I have one fitted as does simsj and I have found that my engine warms up a lot quicker then without it!

the grill cover stops any cold air coming in from the top grill, therefore letting the rad heat up quicker - the bottom grill still lets in plenty of air for the car though.
