  1. Not convinced here. Main dealer told me straight the Sportline and RS iV only difference is the remap. Ask Skoda.
  2. Hmm… I could not find any evidence for that. Citation?
  3. If the numbers of new orders have dropped like a stone, what is happening at the main dealers? Presumably, they are in real trouble, or not? How is this affecting their business now in late 2021, are they downsizing, are salespeople moving to other industries, how can they cover their costs - generally, what is going in?
  4. (Just to echo and update a point made earlier, I was quote yesterday an 11 month wait for a Volvo v60 as I continue to weigh up up Octavia iV vs V60 PHEVs. Obviously, at approaching a year for either car it’s impossible to place an order and I’m resigned to the second hand market.)
  5. Citation please. That’s not what I’m reading on the SC/V/90/60 forums.
  6. I am a big orange fan…. But… it doesn’t rock my world… and I can’t see it helping resale… previous green and petrol metallics have been much more special. i still configured one with the orange but no. I couldn’t order that. It’s also asking for the plod to pull you over at any opportunity!
  7. Head says Sportline. Heart says vRS. Wallet says make me an offer I cannot refuse. I am willing to order, ready to order but I don’t need to. To get me over the line I need a grand gesture - quite a few grand gesture;)
  8. I am still thinking. And I am expecting a jaw dropping offer next time I go in;) And of course I want the vRS! It's so much better looking!
  9. The 7-8 months is also what I’ve been quoted. I am very interested in how far my dealer is willing to or can bend to get me to order. Presumably orders have fallen off a cliff and they have no way to meet end of targets. Does that make them desperate or defensive?
  10. Good points and great idea with the cobblestone test! After some thinking time, I am leaning towards the Sportline as I feel it getting ”everything but the remap” for 3k less. The only thing I don’t like is the Sportline badge! One small issue is my head has been turned by the Volvo V60 T8;) uh oh
  11. Well, I am not so sure that Skoda know how fast the cars are... you say 7,7, the configurator I am looking at says 7,8, and the Finnish technical data sheet says 7,5 https://web.skoda.fi/lataukset/uusi-octavia/uusi-octavia/Uusi-SKODA-OCTAVIA-tekniset-tiedot.pdf
  12. The Finnish specs I looked at said 7,5s for the Sportline. But I think this 7 point something is a negligible difference. Yes, the ”red one” had DCC. I tried the different modes but I am not an experienced enough test driver to notice any difference driving on Porvoontie in comfort vs sport vs eco with DCC on or off. For me getting the seat in the right place is the biggest factor!!!
  13. Ironically the Finnish site says that DCC is "Adaptive chassis adjustment and Performance Mode Selection - RS driving setting selection"... this seems like a bit of marketing though... as the Sportline can be ordered with DCC and the vRS can be ordered without DCC! Go figure! The UK site just calls DCC, "DCC". Hmm.
  14. DCC is an option on the Sportline - and an option on the vRS. Both have Sport mode. The vRS is rated at 180kw, the Sportline 150kw - the difference in power is in engine tuning - not in mode selection or any different hardware.* *I am waiting for answer on the brakes. They are painted red on the vRS - I don't know if they are different spec. vRS 180 kw / 245hp / 225kmh / 7.0s 0-100km Sportline 150 kw / 200hp / 220kmh 7.5s 1-100km There is a difference in power available and a difference on paper in the acceleration and top speed, but I think it is not noticeable - unless you do some extreme tests - it is not noticeable because of the way the electric boost and ICE combine during acceleration. At least that's my impression. I'm still playing devil's advocate here as I'm hoping someone will chime in with a significant difference or justification to help me choose the vRS!
  15. The vRS PHEV and Sportline PHEV have the same susp, bar and diff.
