Back for sale.
Unfortunately, i now have a job travelling in the car a fair bit, so need something a bit more fuel efficient so have a Golf GTD arriving in a couple of weeks.
Since the original post, the car is now on just over 106k miles.
It has also had:
£1k spent on full service including tyres, suspension and other bits - spent last July.
£500 spent having the wheels refurbed, bonnet repainted to get rid of stone chips and a full MOP.
New battery in the last couple of weeks.
Just about to have an oil and filter service done, so nothing to worry about for a while.
MOT until November 2016.
A lovely car for someone wanting a LOT of fun, whilst still having enough room for all the family!
PRICE DROP TO £2,995 ONO
I'll be taking more photos once the service is done and I have had it valeted at the weekend. It will also be going on eBay shortly.

Hi, wanted to check if it had any extras other than the maxidot? Especially interested in sat nav (don't think so from the pic as looks to be the touchscreen radio only), bluetooth and heated seats?
Thanks
-
That's a shame, although it's still up on the Skoda uk site as per link above, it actually sold within 24 hours so is gone!
-
This look great!
So, this car with 18 months mfr warranty left, from a skoda dealer, or a passat cc 3.6 2009 with 9.5k miles via a private sale. Same money...?
-
Great, thanks for that. Will I need vcds to get it all working, or just plug n play?
Thanks again

I ended up not seeing the exact car today (bad experience at Halfords getting an MoT which culminating in them doing something to the car that resulted in my never-broken-down-always-reliable Subaru showing an ecu error and misfiring!), however I viewed another one of the same age and reg today which had a white maxi dot, so the other on is likely to have the same...

Hi mannyo, I just want it for calls. I'd like to replicate the set up I had in my 2012 Superb Elegance whereby I can use the screen and the steering wheel controls for calls. Not interested in streaming.
Thanks

Hi all,
Sorry for posting this in Briskoda rather than a vw forum, but having spent a lot of time here during my Skoda ownership, I am confident I will get an informed reply!
Just about to (finally) get my passat cc v6. The car I'm likely to get has the RNS510 nav unit, but no Bluetooth. I don't want to spend vw prices for the module and bits, so was hoping someone could advise as to what I need to get to sort this out!
It's a late 2008 model and I'd like to get an oem look so that I can use the head unit and steering wheel controls rather than having a separate parrot kit. I need something that will work with an iPhone 6 running latest iOS...
Thanks for the help!

Bump, still available for someone who wants to transport a family at speed!

For sale is my wife's Mazda CX-7. Its a manual petrol model with the engine from the Mazda6 MPS in it. It is for sale on eBay with the ad going live shortly.
We bought this car in April 2012 when our second child was born as we needed a sensible SUV, but also didn't want to give up on driving pleasure and performance. So we bought, as Jeremy Clarkson described it in a Sunday Times review, the god of hellfire! There was only one spec for this car when it was sold between 2007-2009 (in petrol guise) which included almost every extra. It has:4 x electric windows with a facility to disable all but the drivers windowElectric central lockingFront and rear parking sensorsHeated, black leather seats (very rare spec to find black body with black seats - far more common with cream seats which are less practical with kids)Drivers seat is electricElectric, heated mirrors.6xCD BOSE sound systemABSEPSAirbags - drivers, passengers and sidePASXenon headlights with washersAuto lights and wipersFog lightsIsofix fixings on the 2 outer rear seats. In addition to the above spec, after we bought the car, we fitted a sat nav system with Bluetooth and rear parking camera. The touchscreen sat nav has a much bigger screen than the standard system fitted by Mazda from 2009-2011 when the car only came with a 2.2 diesel engine,The car has a full Mazda service history having been last serviced by TW White & Sons in West Byfleet in June 2015.It also has an MOT until August 2016.Mazda do not have a service book but instead they keep a full digital service record. This shows services as follows:30/12/2008 - 493 miles - PDI Barnett's Mazda, Dundee25/06/2009 - 4,984 miles - 3,000 mile service Barnett's Mazda, Dundee12/03/2010 - 14,584 miles - 9,000 mile service Barnett's Mazda, Dundee17/08/2011 - 19,418 miles - 18.000 mile service MKG3000 Mazda, TwickenhamWe bought the car in April 201224/07/2012 - 27,345 miles - 27,000 mile service Motorlux Mazda, Newbury26/07/2013 - 36,819 miles - 36,000 mile service Motorlux Mazda, Newbury24/07/2014 - 46,722 miles - 54,000 mile service TW White & Sons, West Byfleet18/06/2015 - 51,235 miles - 63,000 mile service TW White & Sons, West ByfleetThe MOT had 2 advisories - a windscreen wiper and rear shock absorber. Both have been replaced and can be evidenced by further invoices. All tyres have plenty of tread left, 2 of them were replaced around 1k miles ago in June 2015 and the other two were replaced around 10k miles ago in April 2014.Other than the above routine servicing, the car has also had the following done during its time with us:Brake pads - Aug 2014Replacement handbrake cable - Aug 14OSF drop links - Aug 14NSF Bottom ball joint - Aug 14Aircon receiver dryer and full regas - Jun 14O/S drive shaft - Nov 13As you can see, the car has been extremely well cared for with a number of important jobs carried out and paid for during our 3 years of ownership. The Bad BitsThe car has been used to ferry kids around for the last 3 years, so the exterior does show some minor scratches and trolley dings commensurate with age and use - see the last couple of photos. There is a long scratch on the rear bumper as shown in the penultimate photo. There are also a couple of trolley dings in the passenger door - the paint is not split. I could've fixed them for around £80 from a dent man, but wanted to show that this is an honest car.The previous owner was a builder and his gloves have scuffed the steering wheel. It does sit in the top rate of tax so costs around £450 a year to tax.You will struggle to get >30mpgThe Good Bits0-60 in an official 8.0 seconds. However, it has been tested by Autocar and others to actually take around 6.5-6.8 seconds 0-60 which is more believable given the 260bhp on tap. Other than a much older Porsche Cayenne Turbo you cannot find a faster SUV with a manual gearbox.Honest car with lower than average mileage for age.Unmarked 18" alloysBeen improved from standard spec by the addition of sat nav, Bluetooth and a reversing camera. It is one of the best looking SUVs on the roadVery rare car - you won't see many of these on the road. You will love it!!The Extra BitsIt will come with a set of floor matsI will include the original BOSE stereo should you wish to refit it instead of the sat nav.If the price goes above £5.25k, I will include a set of Artera roof bars specifically for the CX-7.Oh, and in case you are wondering why we are selling, its because we are upgrading to the new CX-5, we still love Mazdas! Please feel free to contact me on 07748 961755 if you have any questions. The car has a very reasonable reserve on it as I do want it gone in the newt week or so as our new car has just arrived. The car is to be collected by the buyer from Woking, Surrey.A couple of articles about the CX-7 which may help:Here are some photos of the car: -
Come on Nik.... go for it! You know you want to!!!
Some of the cars on your shortlist were very very tasty.
Looking forward to your decision.... or SWMBO's ruling on the outcome.... :p
Ah mate, you have no idea how much I want to go for it!! Its just typical how these things work - I've just spent £1.5k sorting the the Scooby out (mechanics for £1k and wheels/paintwork for £500) and still I can't get this V8 bug to leave me alone!!
I'm pretty certain it will only be the Volvo V8, and a second one has now popped up near me! And this one may be interested in a PX! Its fate!!
I'll keep you all posted, lol!

Thanks Nik. She came up really well and will be getting the full 9 hour treatment soon enough!!
Now the queation is, how did the conversation go with your wife about the V8?
She's still thinking about it!!!
I haven't been in touch with the guy about it yet until SWMBO has ruled, but once she has (as long as its a lol) a cheeky offer will be winging its way forthwith!!
Now, for the most important question, apart from a day out in the sunny Lincs/Norfolk borders, how much extra is it gonna cost me to get the new car's body looking like the old one's...

Wow Neil!
If only the previous owner had taken half as much care... ;-)
She looks a beaut!!

Mines still available if you want one with much lower mileage

If you don't need the extra space of an estate, I'm selling a 3yo twindoor elegance 4x4 for around £10k less than those prices!! Still has 9 months warranty on it too...
-
This car, however, is still for sale!
-
Mods, please could you close this thread, the car has earned itself yet another stay of execution (having just spent £1k on service, tyres etc!) so won't be selling it after all!
Thanks

Thanks! Hopefully, I can convert SCVRS's wife to the benefits and pleasures of a Subaru, and that moves me along the path to multiple cylinder ownership!
