Anyone using any type of door guards? You know the ones to stop other people smashing their doors into yours, any success?

So I'm due two new front tyres soon. Seem to have been wearing on the inner side. I've got Dunlop Sportmax 17s at the moment. Probably gets asked a lot but what are other people using at the moment? I read on one of the threads the Sailun Zsr was good. Anyone back this up? Don't want to spend too much but then don't want to end up with rubbish tyres either. I mainly tend to do motorway miles. Hi Is it possible to add in a sat nav module without changing to a Columbus system? I have the SE spec so i guess i have the Bolero? I'm wondering whether any of the spare button slots next to the gear stick could be used for a sat nav?

I've never talked to dealer about it. I also get the click if I'm reversing and then change back to D. On the initial roll forward i get the click.

I also get this click, usually happens for me when car is too slow for the gear. I also thought it might be clutch noise

Just went back to Halfords to return the 21s and guess what? They've never heard of 16w bulbs! Any idea where can i pick these up? Checked eurocarparts online and couldn't see them. Thanks

Thanks for that Silver, I'll look it over tonight. But darn just read the last bit about the bulb, i bought a couple of Bosch 21/5 w as Halfords recommended. 100% about the 16w? I do have the twindoor 2009 170 CR. Thanks

Hi, Can anyone advise how to change the brake lights? I've been intermittently getting the warning bulb failure light all week so will try changing the bulb on the left brake. Any advice appreciated, I know i struggled changing the front head light as I couldn't get the bulb back in. Is it easy enough to do on the brakes? Thanks, Atif

Did this ever get resolved? I'm getting this on my Superb almost every other day, sometimes several times a day. Sometimes it points to front left headlight, some time left brake light. I did check brake light and it was off, gave it a flick and it came back on. It had been to Skoda Letchworth but looks like I'll have to take it back.

I don't think it was that hot as I only drove for about 5 mins but did notice not smoke but bit steam come out so maybe it was the vaccum thing Silver. Moley it's a complete different world out here. Actually driving in Germany now can't help myself driving any less than 120mph and it's pretty normal here. The bendy roads take getting used to though. If anyone's interested I averaged about 50mpg across the 500 odd miles.

Hi All Just done about 500 mile run averaging about 90-100mph. Cars on 64000 miles fixed interval. Last oil change at 54000. As it was close to it's next service thought i check oil. Tried pulling dipstick and felt resistance. Twisted and turned and finally got it out. Oil level seems to be in between the two marks but a bit worried why it's sort of sticking. If i be honest i can't remember last time i checked the oil so cant remember if the dipstick is magnetised or something. By the way i checked it next morning after driving for about 5 minutes. What do you think?

Folks, I've managed to change air filter - first time ever ! But i lost one of the screws on the left. It sounded like it hit the bottom tray... Not driven car yet but will it be okay? Is this common or have i just made a major mistake. Thanks

How much the dsg remap cost you in the end? Thinking about one myself.

You got a point silver. In my case I've never had DRLs so felt a bit weird having them on, plus I'm a bit paranoid as it's my first Skoda and bought second hand so thought might be something wrong somewhere at first. Also blew a bulb so wondered if it was related. I do like the come home lights though.

Thanks guys, in the end I finally wondered into the maxi dot and managed to turn those lights off.

Just wanted to update this as I know other people had similar issue. Took it to dealer and they carried out a fix on the air inlet hose. now it doesn't vibrate at low rpm, just gurgles a little if that makes sense.

Hi folks, Couple of days ago I had an 'ESP Fault' pop up on the screen of my 2009 Superb SE 2.0 DSG. At that point I was reversing and couldn't turn the steering any more. Switched the car on and off and it disappeared but the steering was a lot heavier. I had bought the car from Honda and it has a 12 month warranty. Took it to Skoda and they ran a diagnostic which stated there was steering angle sensor issue and recommended checking electrics. They did a wire check which came back fine and were told by Skoda UK to download an update. Having done this they have said the car is now fine but Honda refused to pay on warranty so bill come to around £170. Does this sound about right? I know other people have had ESP issues, is this similar to that and is this what cured it? Out to pick up car this afternoon.

Silly question but here goes...just bought the Skoda Superb se auto today, getting to grips with it but I don't understand the lights. To me 0 means no lights, auto means auto lights, the next one in the dial is side lights and the last main beam.. But I have lights coming on when it's on 0 which is confusing me. These come on in daylight and it's annoying. I can't get in the situation where no lights on when driving..day or night..

Hi My 170 superb dsg is kinda noisy at slow speeds when I accelerate slowly. It's bit like 'brumm brumm' noise I just bought it today and have no prior experience driving a similar car so I don't know if it's just me or it's just the normal car acceleration as it's a bit powerful car? Help? Thanks
