  1. More than likely a worn camshaft and lifters. Pretty common on the 1.9 tai but also a relatively easy fix.
  2. Actually on the mk2 vrs they need physically wiring in as the wiring isn't present in the cars loom.
  3. Yes, get it scanned for codes or just keep firing parts at it with the parts cannon.
  4. Yes, change the canbus and get it coded. Why mess about with wiring, fuses etc when it's a known, documented procedure to fix the issue
  5. Very nice, understated cars but to someone who knows them can see this is a very tidy example.
  6. sits really well does that
  7. The linked item should work and be plug and play for music streaming, however most likely won't support thr phone functions via the headunit. You may still be able to make and answer calls from the phone itself.
  8. We'll be there, it's 1h 15m away though 😂
  9. Possible failed thermostat not allowing car to get up to temperature. DPF regen will only commence over a certain coolant temp
  10. Search for multimeter back probes, lots of extended tips show up
  11. Which relay have you checked? According to the wiring diagrams on Elsawin there's two under the dash, one controls terminal 30 power which is referred to in some of your fault codes. (B4 in attachment)
  12. £90 to recode a canbus gateway? That's steep! Where are you located there's most likely someone with VCDS local to recode for you it's about a 15 minute job (at least the last one I did on a touran was, including fitting the unit)
  13. Grab the arm that attaches to the screen and twist the whole lot anticlockwise, it'll unclip
  14. The sensors at either side of the rail can get clogged with particles so I would recommend changing them (one is the regulating valve and one Is the pressure sensor IIRC) the metering valve on top of the pump should come with the recon pump. Not sure if this was specific to the Audi that we did this on but there was an auxiliary fuel pump underneath the car just in front of the filter that also needed replacing/cleaning (we chose to clean it, was barely any metal in it as the filter caught most of it)
  15. Well it took me around 30 man hours, parts wise you will also need fuel filter, in tank pump, the sensors on the rail, cambelt kit. Total cost for us was around £1600 in parts
  16. No only Weymouth although feel free to come down 😅
  17. On holiday this time but will definitely be attending September if it's on
  18. Has the pump failed and sent metal through the fuel system? I replaced one along with the cambelt and all the fuel system etc on an audi A4 and that took us close to 30 hours due to the amount of lines etc needing removed. Changing the actual pump and cambelt took less than 2 hours, but no idea why you would be changing the pump unless it has suffered catastrophic failure.
