  1. Cheers. Will show the better half later as it's a car she was keen on.
  2. Would you have any additional pictures please of the outside etc. Thanks.
  3. I've acquired a 2012 Passat CC 2.0tdi. The car drives really well but has a knocking from the rear. I took it my local place and he replaced the anti roll bars as they were past their best, also both rear tyres as worn on the inside. The knocking is still there. He's checked the lower part of the springs and they are fine and suggests it's either the shocks or the rear subframe bushes. On the off chance I thought I'd get an opinion on here and see what you guys might think it would be. Really appreciate any advice as always 👍👍
  4. Ah ok cheers. Won't have any effect on running if the pipe had come away?
  5. Was thinking my issue is the starter motor, battery seems fine. I did notice today and excuse my daftness the small airbox at the front, the pipe was away from the housing and the cover was loose. The housing had two pipes one from the main airbox. Is this just another type of airbox?
  6. Will book it in and get checked next week.
  7. But would explain the starting issue?. I've checked with my mk5 golf ref the battery light, works the same as the octavia.
  8. Just popped the snap on diagnostic on. Glow plug 1,3 and 4 open circuit.
  9. OK thanks. Just never noticed it before until the issue starting issue
  10. Cheers for the quick replies. I've had the battery checked yesterday and says good buy needs a charge, I had been away for a couple of weeks and before that the car hadn't been driven much. So turning thw ignition on to the point of starting and letting the lights go out. The battery light should aswell?. So potentially an alternator fault as mentioned?. Thanks.
  11. Morning all. My trusty octavia has an issue. It's never smoothly started, more of a cough then starts and runs absolutely spot on. Lately I've noticed when turning the ignition on the battery light doesn't go off which I'm assuming does normally. A sign of an alternator issue?
  12. Ah ok mate. Hope you sorted it🍺🍺🍺
