In my experience, for best results the exhaust needs to be warm and more than half throttle, though my are amplified by having an aftermarket exhaust.

I've been quoted between £135 and £145 depending on the materials. I'm still unsure on this at the minute though.
I wouldn't mind going for a thicker feel with new leather to replace the shiny, smooth stuff on there now. Maybe with an alternating green and red stitch.

Interested in how you get on with the steering wheel retrim. The site looks interesting, any idea how much would they'd charge you?

Have always been an iPhone fanboy but I am tempted by the Note 8, saw this on Hot Deals.

Not a mk3 but I have Sportlines as supplied by Skoda as an option. These are designed to work with the the standard shocks, I would imagine they work harder but no issues so far. Look much improved without an impact on the ride.

No issues found, the garage took the belt off and the noise was still there. Told could be a 'TSI thing'.
Fears of chain problems but the garage did not indicate an issue from this area. Should the noise worsen, told to bring it in with haste.
Next step would be to find a car with the same engine for a comparison, National meet perhaps.

I found both my resinated and non-res Millteks tones changed and got louder over time.

Won't be aux belt related, the aux belt is on the o/s not the n/s.
Indeed it is! Stood in front of the car while posting.

I aim to post the solution, there's nothing worse than a problem thread without a conclusion.

Well it's doing my head in so l book it in Monday.

Noise can be better heard behind the OSF wheel so could be aux belt related. What's down there that's likely to make the noise?

Of recent I've been driving with the windows down and the stereo off, enjoying the Milltek. I've started to notice a whining noise much the same as described in this thread on this scirocco forum.

His video, noise heard above 2k.
Can TSI owners confirm this is normal and I'm just being hyper paranoid?

I would say its that simple, its only the round bit you're changing (unless the buttons are different?)

Thanks for the interest but I think we'll postpone for a later date.

Petrol all the way for low miles. My TSI costs the same to run and my old Fiesta TDCI around town, plus the added fun factor and giant boot.
