  1. I use https://7zap.com/en/catalog/cars/Skoda/Octavia/Octavia (2020 - 2021)/ Then find the engine etc
  2. I'm looking but I think I'll wait a few weeks as the standard and option list doesn't look right in the brochure. First Edition has all the fancy stuff but SE Tech and SE L seem a little light. If you have ordered, any idea on delivery time?
  3. I'm hoping it's down to the parts needing to ramp up to meet the planned spec.
  4. It's gone live (not sure when) with a starting price of £26,775. https://cc.skoda-auto.com/gbr/en-GB/ First Edition SE Technology SE L SportLine Hatch and Estate No brochure showing yet. Available to order April 10th
  5. All a bit 'radio silence' MK3 FL was announced and open almost the same day. Just an idea on UK spec and pricing would be nice.
  6. Need to see the details but probably replace my 67 MkIII FL. Hopefully they'll be out in the coming weeks.
  7. Since late last year I've noticed a knocking coming from the rear-left of the car when cold or when going over uneven roads, but not potholes, This week I've finally had the combination of time and weather to have a proper look on the ramps. All the suspension parts are tight with no bushing loose/work and all shields tight. Giving the rear box a thumping, I've found that if there is lateral movement the pipe hits the down stand for the plastic tray. Up or down and it's silence. Relief that I've found it as it was driving me nuts. I'm thinking of replacing the rubber hanging mounts to see if that resolves it. Are there any after market mounts that are better than the OEM. Looked at the Febi ones but curious if that are better before I did out the lube?
  8. Hi Pab567 Anything new for: Hardware version - 5Q003874C Software Version - 0478 Thank you in advance.
  9. Hope you didn't trade in the Airskinz G-AWNA tag too?
  10. A long piece of thin wire to clear the blockage and slowly run water to flush it out.
  11. Not sure about that. In court... Defence "Can the prosecution please explain how you determine my client was exceeding the limit?" Prosecution "By the GPS on their dashcam". D "Is that a calibrated and approved detection method, validated by the Home Office and ACPO?" P "Errrrr" Magistrate "Case dismissed". OK, dangerous/careless driving is a different matter, but I cannot find any legal precedent for the UK for speeding, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. IANAL so speed at your own risk.
  12. Just had 4 advisories on all my Dunlops fit cracks. 3 years old and 11000 miles. 4 new Sport Pilot 4 ordered for next week.
  13. Not cheap, but I have a Blackvue DR750S=2CH with 128GB of micro SD storage. Hardwired in with powermagic and cloud connectivity through a mifi. Both are on voltage drop detectors so they stay operational for a as long as possible without draining the battery too far. The cable is fed through the headlining and then follows the cable trunking into the tailgate to keep everything tidy.
  14. @SashaGrace As I have the same wireless Carplay mode as you, have had any problems with autoplay? Some times it connects and the trace plays exactly from where it starts, another time connects but then play 1 second before pausing. Firmware is the latest as per the methodology. Not the end of the world but is it a bug or a 'feature'...
  15. Hopefully a very quick yes/no question. I'm going to remove the OEM Amundsen screen, climate controls and USB/Aux panel to fit wireless charger and wireless CarPlay. If I disconnect the screen and when finished, reconnect it, will CP kick in. On my MKII, the canbus would recognise the original unit and carry on as normal. Is it the same for a MKIII, MY18. Thanks.
  16. @SashaGrace Parts on order, hopefully Aliexpress will be a bit quicker than 40 days but we'll see. I may tap you up for tips when the time comes. In the meantime, where did you power the USB box from? Thanks
  17. Completed this evening. Took about 20 minutes. Would have take 15 But I picked up wrong spanners. A little dab of copper grease on the balls should keep any corrosion away.
  18. You will get a host of warning lights and error codes after the swap. Most, like steering angle will clear after a drive. Others need clearing via an OBD tool like VCDS.
  19. Except that's the completely wrong item. A S/S version of this. https://www.sgs-engineering.com/x4-ball-extension
  20. I think the Wireless CarPlay has just made the list. Will also look at the Qi charging too. Currently have a Brodit mount but never been happy with it.
  21. This is my next retrofit, along with correctly routing the rear dashcam cable. It currently loops between the headline and tailgate.\ Has anyone found a stainless steel version of the M8 10mm x 25mm ball extension? The BZP version should be fine, but for anything outdoors I prefer S/S. One of my little peccadillos when it comes to metal fittings.
  22. Hi Pab567 Is there an update for my MY18 Amundsen mib2.5? I have intermittent USB connection fails to iPhone XS. Thank you in advance.
  23. It's on the UK configurator now. As far as I can see, DSG only available on the 2.0TDI. Hopefully that'll be corrected once production ramps up, or that's a 'no sale' for me,
  24. I've just re-fitted my Blackvue DR650GW-2CH front while awaiting a new DR750S-2CH. WHen it arrives I need to run the rear coax cable. On my MKII FL I did the tailgate properly, threading the cable through the tubing and removing the tailgate trim. Don't feel quite brave enough to do that on a brand new MKIII FL. Has anyone come up with a way to tidy up the cable crossing the gap from headling to glass? I thought about wrapping the coax around a rod to make a spring that will stretch when opening the tailgate. Thanks
