Since the last update, the mySkoda app is running like its on a ZX spectrum. Takes forever to update the info, I see some suggestions on the app store to delete it and the data and reinstall but I'd like to keep the historic data if possible. Anyone else tried this?

Do you have location permissions set for the app?

On the door side of your steering column. It's facing downwards so you need to get your head down low in the footwell pinkish red socket.

It's worth running both if you already have a plug. There's a number of extra parameters that are logged if you're interested in that type of thing. I don't have them unlocked yet as I've not done many miles.

Mp3tag is very good if you use it with the various online tag sources but no, it doesn't adjust the artwork as far as I know. You just select the album, pick a jpg and it embeds into the file so you'd need to limit the jpg beforehand.

OK thanks, so if the art is embedded and under that resolution it should be OK? Does it work with a folder.jpg as well do you know? I use mp3tag, seems a pretty good tool for this type of thing.

I've put a load of mp3s on a micro sd + USB C adaptor and plugged this into the USB slot. All works OK other than some albums don't show cover art, I checked each of these and embedded the album art into the mp3 files but just wondering whether it's better to use a 'cover.jpg' or 'folder.jpg' in each folder? Are these recognised and is there a file size limit or anything else I should check?

Finally managed to get out for another drive with the dataplug in and this time both myskoda and remote connection on Connect lite both worked so it must have just been a problem with that particular time I tried it.

Hi, There seems to be few extras in Lite such as graphing of stats such as coolant temp and rpm. It monitors your trip in more detail and also driving style. I can't see these in the mySkoda app. I just don't understand why the plug would disable the remote function in mySkoda, I'll be giving it another try soon.

Hi, I've just changed cars from Octavia VRs to a Karoq 1.5 DSG petrol Sportline. Very happy in general (even with the bigger wheels ) although I'm used to the stiffer ride by now. I've been using the 'MySkoda' app and everything has been fine - updating trips, mpg, park position etc. until yesterday when I plugged a dataplug in to try out the 'Connect Lite' app. This also worked fine and updated with car info, battery volts etc. The following day however, the wife was out in the car and I received no updates in MySkoda, the refresh button didn't pick anything up either. When she came home I removed the dataplug and everything working OK again and I can see the data now while she is out in the car again. So question is, is there a way to leave the dataplug in and still use the remote connect features? Or was this maybe a co-incidence, I can try again with the dataplug but just wondered if anyone has both working simultaneously? Thanks
