  1. You know your wheels! I did know that about the Gemini’s which is why I guessed the same might have applied to the extremes in silver but that was wrong of me to do so! I used to have a Saab 9-3 with silver/ machine polished wheels and never saw the point as you can’t see the difference until you’re right up close!
  2. Silver 19” extremes certainly were a factory option on fl vrs until this year, I’ve seen a few and depending on colour of car can look well in my opinion. I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think they have the diamond cut finish the the anthracite ones have which is a plus point if they ever needed refurb. Enjoy the shopping!!
  3. Thanks for the replies, I phoned Skoda Finance after work there, who confirmed that my account has not been settled. So it’ll be interesting to find out 2moro what excuse the dealer has for leaving me out of pocket to the tune of £600 so far!
  4. I traded my octavia in early for a superb recently. Octy was on a pcp, payments taken on 28th of each month. I picked up the new car on 27th Sept and wasn’t surprised that I still made a payment for the Octy the following day, I was advised VW finance would refund me any over payments. I was surprised however to find that they’ve taken another payment today. I’ll be calling them tomorrow but can anyone with previous experience advise how long it usually takes them to settle an account?
  5. Is there some sort of national windscreen shortage?! I’ve been waiting 2 1/2 weeks for dealer to get a new screen fitted on a superb.
  6. Hi guys, I would greatly appreciate if someone could advise me if a space saver that I have in my 2015 Octavia VRS - size T125 / 70 R18 could be used as a spare for a Superb Sportline tdi 190, ie is the fitment the same, won’t rub on calipers etc, and will it fit in the storage area under boot floor ok? Many thanks in advance!
  7. Could I have spotted this car in Portrush recently? Was this colour with the red detailing around grill anyway, hardly too many about with that spec. Looked well! I’m changing from octavia III vrs tdi to a black sportline 190, hopefully next week.
  8. Would someone be able to confirm whether or not the oem Skoda 18” space saver that I bought for my mk3 Octavia Vrs tdi would be suitable to use on a 2017 superb Sportline 190? Cheers.
  9. Good point, I thought after I posted it maybe I should have posted on the superb section instead! But I also know there’s some very knowledgeable people on here. Thanks, I’ll check precise size (it is definitely 18”) and try over there, cheers!
  10. As per title, could anyone tell me if a space saver wheel that I have in my my16 vrs tdi (think it’s 18”) would be suitable to use as a spare in a superb Sportline 190 tdi? Thanks for help and apologies if I’m repeating something that’s been covered somewhere before.
  11. Hi, I also have a vrs tdi hatch (manual) and bought my first caravan 2 years ago, an Elddis Avante with a max weight of 1395kg. I too was concerned at the weight ratio as a novice. I always try to keep caravan as light as possible, loading as much in car as i can (which is easy with the huge boot!). Nose weight is usually about 72kg which is perfect. I have found the octavia to be a fantastic tow car, always feels stable and safe, i just always take it easy with caravan on and it has never been a stressful experience. The engine power comes into play when climbing long steep gradients (such as M2 out of Belfast), it just cruises the whole way up in 5th gear without dropping speed. I would also usually get between 30-33mpg towing which i think is decent enough. Choosing a caravan that you like and suits your needs best are so important, so i would say if the Bailey ticks all the boxes then go for it, just be sensible with the loading and towing and you wont regret it!
  12. Is the towbar fitment different between hatch and estate? Thanks guys.
  13. Yea I've seen that photoshop and have to agree with you that they do look ace. Would like to see a real photo if someone has them. Thx for reply!
