  1. So my cheap and cheerful dash cam is beginning to crumble away, literally, the suction pad remained attached to the window and the rest of the bracket and unit dropped down to earth with a thud whilst driving this evening. I've decided I'm going to get a Nextbase rather than replace the bracket. I want one with a rear cam module however haven't decided on the model yet but will do soon. I've got two queries: 1. The power lead NB use, is it a mini USB? I've already got one hardwired in so to save time and £££ if this fits I'll be happy. 2. Would somebody be able to take a photo of the connection on the rear view cam wire that goes into the 'front' cam. I've looked online and can't seem to see it in any of the images. Wondering if a generic rear view cam will fit and work with a NB unit. Thanks
  2. Estate? I'd imagine so as the foot pack would be designed to clamp on to the factory fitted rails. Width across for the bars is circa 118cm. If it's a hatch I can't be certain 🤷🏻‍♂️
  3. Same. Mines been in and had a once over, they can't see anything out of the ordinary, everything's tight and in good condition yet it creaks like nobody's business when turning to reverse up the path.
  4. I use Thule Freeride bike racks and as previously mentioned the Thule square bars and appropriate footpack for the estate. I've had the freeride kit for nigh on 14yrs from new, they're about £60, and they're still in perfect condition. They rarely get used nowadays but back in my downhill days they were hardly ever off my Fabia!
  5. I've got a 2015 vrs estate and was in the same boat a few weeks ago. I had a set which my dad had bought from Aldi I think a few years back, he rarely used them and got a new car last year so passed them to me. They were OK for what I was using them for (bikes every now and again) however one day the bit where you tighten the clamp decided to shatter in my hand rendering them useless. I contemplated buying a similar set, but for a little bit more outlay I found a branded version could be purchased. I bought a set of 2nd hand Thule square bars and feet off eBay for just over £50. Have a look, mine were advertised as Thule 7104 VW Tiguan bars but they're the exact fit for the Octavia.
  6. 👍 Sticker confirms it's the cheaper one. Cheers @PetrolDave
  7. Hi I'm going to take advantage of the Groupon deal for ATS at the moment for a regas and cleanse. I can't find the 'type' of gas I need though, nothing mentioned in the manual or online. Is it the cheaper one for cars pre-2017 or will my 2015 vrs potentially have the expensive 2017 onward gas? I only ask as lots of places state some manufacturers started to add the new environmentally friendly albeit more expensive stuff before 2017.
  8. Hi I'm after a singular drivers side floor mat for my VRS to match the set I got with the car when new. Annoyingly the current one is starting to develop a hole and the others are in perfect condition. Apart from eBay, which are not a perfect match in terms of genuine Skoda, is there anywhere else that I could source a new one from? TIA
