Have attached pic of what residue is on the rocker

Is that usual on these engine don't recall having it on my old Peugeot HDI

What would it mean if it dissapears after a journey, its not like thick mayo like i see in pictures its consistency is the same as the oil can only see it on the seal its like creamy colour but very thin in consistency

The rocker cover was changed before I bought it not sure if that matters

Had it 6 months invoice says longlife oil its on 25k miles

Oil filter change was about 3 weeks ago air filter about 6 months was all done at a dealer so I would hope its the correct oil, noticed it last sunday as well but not as much, journey wise I drive about 6 miles then park at a friend house sometimes I will do long journeys but haven't for a couple of weeks

Hi All Have noticed past week or 2 a milky residue on the oil caps rubber seal its not a lot and covers about a 3rd of the rubber seal but nowhere else ive recently had a service too, it seemed to be more today ive not lost any coolant still looks pink and also no white smoke does anyone know what this could be??

Would I be able to get my money back if I sold my 16" and bough some 15" wheels I usually do about 60 I know it could probably happily sit at 80 but I like seeing the trip counter mpg creep up lol

Hi all most of my driving is on the A1 sitting in a straight line I clock up 100 miles a day commuting but can anyone tell me the optimum speed for engine longevity also I have 16" alloys and 45 profile tyres and can find the ride a little harsh is this normal I've never had low profile tyres before

Hi I made the fuel pipes the same height where the elbow is by moving them up and down a little until it stopped you really need someone in the car listening until it stops I assume by moving them side by side more it holds them in place better

Well it seems I have I have cured the rattle despite not being able to hear it in the engine bay even though it was loud inside the car it seemed to be the fuel pipes rattling on the chassis leg.

It only happens when engines hot downside is I can't hear it with bonnet open only from the inside will have to figure out how to upload a video I did

Today i noticed that at slow speeds i.e. around a car park or at 1000rpm there is a very noticeable rattle that con only be heard within the cabin, i first thought maybe it was something in a tray but cleared it all out still happens cannot hear anything under the bonnet as too loud it isnt there at idle or much about 1000 rpm anyone else had this

Hi all Today in the car park I noticed at the bottom of the passenger door on the curved part there's a small dent smaller than a golf ball also there's another tiny ding on the rear quarter anyone know where and how much I can get this done I see there are diy tricks with compressed air but don't think it would work on these

Hi all Is it possible to play mp3's through the aux port from my mobile phone is so do I just need like a double ended headphone port lead.

The only thing I don't get is the whine disappears within seconds and doesn't seem to change note with rpm, it sounds more electronic but I could be interpreting the sound wrong

No cambelt was just due as was part of the deal

Any idea why it makes that whine but only when colder its had cambelt all filters and new rocker cover changed in swptember

Skoda confirmed fuel and air filter done on last major service this year brake fluid also changed, is additive ok in these if so what sort?
