Mine took 11 weeks from order to collection. Yours may be affected by the Christmas shutdown? Worth the wait. Great car. Feels really solid on the road, and fairly brisk too!

I was tempted, but in the end opt'd to do it myself. Read a lot of reviews on waxes, and in the end went with 'Autoglym 150g High Definition Wax', a snip at £39 from Amazon. Yet to apply as weather been poor, but certainly a bit cheaper than £250!

Wish my car had the camera. Sensors are ok but would be better to see what you're crashing into.

I picked up our new VRS on Friday and we are very pleased with it. Fast, comfy, great looking, etc, etc. However there seems to be an issue with the ipod playback when connected via the USB input. It randomly seems to 'jump' whilst playing music, and this happens often too. At first I thought because I was using the normal ipod (with an internal harddrive) that the bumps in the road were making the hard drive jump, so I decided to load my music onto an old iPhone5 (which has solid memory to store the data so won't be affected by the bumps in the road), still no joy. It is the standard headunit. Cable isn't an issue as it was brand new. Any ideas? Is there a firmware update needed to fix the issue? Didn't (couldn't :| ) go mad with the options but got the black pack, tinted windows and a spare tyre (I know....pretty rock'n'roll!). Wished I'd spec'd the Canton system but was too late to change the order when I realised I wanted it. Went for the Quartz Grey Metallic colour which doesn't seem to be a popular choice when looking at other cars on the forum. Liked and test drove the racing blue colour, but thought it was a little 'in your face' for us. Always liked gun metal Audis hence why we went with that similar colour. Already got a rear seat cover to stop all the mess from the two little lads in the back (and the dog). How's yours spec'd?

Contacted dealer, should have car within the next 2 weeks. Result!

Is early Jan optimistic? Ordered my TSi VRS back in August and still no sign although I got the email that they had started building it 2 weeks yesterday. They reckon late November/December. Hate waiting! Not driven the Tsi only the TDi so hoping its good. Had a Focus RS mk1 back when they were current, and I have missed the acceleration and speed since I waved goodbye to it back in 2008.

I have searched the forum but couldn't find this topic for the mk3 Octavia. I have only the stock head unit in my car so was wondering if it is a 'straight swap' to change to the other units as I see they are readily available on eBay? Thanks Chris

Hi all, My Octavia VRS is due to be built week 42 (next week I believe) and really think I should have opt'd for the Canton upgrade. I ordered the car back in August so don't really want to delay the process. If I added it now, does anyone know whether it would delay the car even though it has not started the build process??
