  1. The bracket under the passenger seat can mount either the amplifier or the voltage stabiliser.

If you have the amplifier then that will be under the passenger seat and the voltage stabiliser will be under the drivers seat.

Thanks mate, Really appreciate the update. It's my first Skoda and love everything about it.

Having this work would be the icing on the cake.

I'll wait and keep my fingers crossed all goes well with your service activation.

    Thanks again!

Smartlink was activated on my Yeti Amundsen today using the 000 054 830A item pictured above.

    All good!

    Cheers

  3. Gummi Pflege the seal that is in between the door and the body, not the one around the glass.

I observed the same that when the glass was fully up the creaking was worse.

One application cured it for a little while, the second a few days later cured it permanently.

    I used Einszett Gummi Pflege.

    Cheers

    Does your wheel show 5L601025M 8Z8 & 5L601025T FM9 on the rear?

Sorry, left out the zeros after the "L"s but I think you realised that...

    The "B" suffix is a 17" wheel.

The part number you require (M/T) appears available.

From your VIN your parts person should know the exact part for your car.

  5. Your wheels are 17"?

    Does your wheel show 5L601025M 8Z8 & 5L601025T FM9 on the rear?

That is the part number for the FL "NEW DOLOMITE"

Dolomite wheels came in both 16" and 17" versions.

5L0601025B shows as"DOLOMITE" 17" but I think different colour to yours.

Hi Spiz, Mind if I ask you were you managed to order the activation key from please?

    I'll hold out for now but I'm fairly positive your's will work fine as I got the below reply back from my dealer;

I believe $628 is way too expensive so the import option seems better. The part number they mentioned also seems to be linked to https://www.amazon.co.uk/Skoda-Voice-activation-Bolero-000054802/dp/B07C8L4XVB wheras mine is an Amundsen head unit.

    Hi Zac,

Sorry for the delay in getting an answer for you. We had to ask technical and had to look up a few things.

Technical have advised that yes, you can unlock the App connect. I have quoted it through the spare parts department and they have advised that the activation key is $628.32 but it is currently showing as a back order part for the availability.

If you were wanting to proceed with the job, you would have to contact our parts department and order/pay through there. The part number for the activation key is D*000054802. Once our parts department have received it, they will give you a call and advise it is in and we would need to book the vehicle in to carry out the unlock.

That part number is a different unit and for voice activation, not app activation.

Ask for a quote on the 000 054 830A. And if the price includes labour to do it.

I'll check where mine came from & let you know.

Do you mind if I ask you roughly how much you purchased the activation key for?

I got the below reply when I messaged Skoda which doesn't make sense. If I had Smartlink as an option and it's asking me for the activation code, Clearly my infotainment system is configured to run Smartlink, No?

Hi Zac, I have confirmed that whilst this activation key is available for purchase from our ŠKODA Dealers, unfortunately it is not compatible with your vehicle, as your vehicles’ infotainment system does not support this feature. Regards, Samara@ŠKODA

Paid around 200euro last year. At the time the dealer had no idea, so bought it myself as part of a larger order of Skoda parts. (we own more than one Skoda.)

For AU some Yeti versions had Smartlink activated as default, others had the activation as part of the Tech Pack. (listed as a value of $250 in the tech pack.)

My service is due next month & will be asking to dealer to activate at that time. I'll report back if successful or not. Maybe wait till then for a definitive answer.....

    Cheers

  8. You need the activation key which the dealer will have to activate. (& can only be used once.)

I have an unused one here which I plan to have activated at the next service. :-)

    Pic with part number attached.

This item was listed as an available option on one of the AU brochures.

any one replaced the day running  light/side light bulb on the updated lights on the Yeti (bottom of headlight assembly)

can.t work out how to access it

Access by removing the cover from behind the low beam bulb. DRL/side light is located deep underneath the low beam section.

Manual says to remove the headlight. Doesn't mean you have to if access is possible.

  10. We did this recently to our Octavia (Swing ->Bolero). The Bolero was ex Yeti.

It was a plug and play swap. No VCDS required.

You'll require the PIN for the Bolero. Only needs to be input once.

    Bluetooth streaming is great!

    Cheers

  11. It is a purchased module. (Your second listed.)

Easier to fit this module rather than coding & warranty complications.

I removed the radio trim, plastic trim that runs above the glovebox and under the switches, and also the heating controls for access to the existing wiring.

    Hi,

our drivers side bearing is making quite a racket and needs replacing. As I understand the bearing comes as part of a whole hub assembly. But when I input my reg number into gsf or eurocar parts I get 2 options. A 3 bolt and 4 bolt version.

The Yeti is a 61 plate 1.2tsi, does anyone know what is likely to be fitted?

Also can anyone explain the huge price differences from £35 at some admittedly shady looking websites to £150 at gsf etc?! Even for the same branded hub assembly!

    Thanks,

    Alex

Depends on what front brakes are fitted.

Check the build code sticker near the spare tyre...

    1ZA, 1ZE, 1LJ have 4 holes

    1ZF has 3 holes

    Recommend the oem one.

Good idea, might try airline, it is amazing how the stone got in there in the first place, a real puzzle, can't see anywhere big enough for it to come out without removing caliper.

Just need the torque setting for the caliper carrier for the reassembly.

    From the Skoda brake manual..

    Caliper guide bolts: 30Nm

    Caliper carrier bolts: 190Nm

Sorry to disappoint, it's very unlikely to be an adaption channel on a Yeti. I assume your BCM part number starts 1K0 937 08...?

MQB cars such as the MK3 Octavia/Superb can be done using adaptions but not older PQ35 cars such as the Yeti or MK2 FL Octavia/Superb.

Rosstech haven't added the ability to change the lighting configuation for PQ35 cars using VCDS, nor are they likely to. If you can find someone with VCP or ODIS-e then it should be possible. I think ODIS-s may also have a guided function for it.

    Yes. BCM is p/n 1K0 937 086.

    Thanks for clarifying.

regarding this upgrade, which is now fully functional and working a treat, does anyone know how to disable the actual Skoda Bluetooth? Even though the old Bolero head unit is gone the phone still wants to pair with Skoda BT, so am assuming the Bluetooth is a separate entity? Would save a lot of faffing about if it could be disabled in some way?

I had the same issue when fitting an RCD330.

Delete your phone from the phone list via Maxidot. No need to disconnect the BT module.

I have noticed, annoyingly, that when I close the boot (sometimes not always) on my Yeti the car automatically locks all the other doors as well - not great when you are loading the boot at the supermarket and it's chucking it down.

It only happens occasionally, not always.  Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way to prevent it happening?

    Thanks.

It could be that the opening of the boot is not detected correctly and hence auto locking the doors again after 30 seconds.

  17. Hi all

Fitting a module like this will result in the start stop button remembering what state it was in when the ignition was switched off.

It doesn't kill the start stop system completely, just remembers what state you prefer the button in.

A "plus" version is required for Yeti.

It connects via 3 wires to the wiring of the start stop button.

    Purple/White (car side) = Signal

    Yellow/Black (car side) = IGN+

    Brown (car side) = Ground

    Fitted and works as described.
