  1. Thanks for your help. My dealer quoted me for the 40mm ones when I tried to explain to him.
  2. Well guys my car was away to see the auto spark due to some electrical issues. So long story short I got the car back but it had thrown the toys out of the pram later that evening throwing the eml back on and thr coolant sensor doing the sweep thing I had mentioned before. So I collected the car again today and the spark said the coolant sensor plug was full off oil again? So I asked the does it have an oil leak somewhere but they weren't 100% sure so I'm wondering if anyone one knows here has had the same issue to point me in the direction I should be looking for the oil leak.
  3. Eh first off thanks for thr response guys but as above I have struggled to find the part numbers on thr system hence me turning to here also I have ordered the bungs listed in the above response as it was the only one I could find too but they are too big. So I'd say the bungs must be around 20mm. I was considering duct tape but it's literally stick a plaster over the problem🤣.
  4. It's not a great pic ad it's of the Web as my cars in the garage atm. But it's the 2 grommets/bungs on the roof line beside the tailgate hinges. Mine have gone brittle and broken off into the roof hence I can't get the part numbers .
  5. It's the ones which would be beside the tailgate hinges I was given 2 that are too big. They have the rim with nippe in the middle.
  6. As in the title guys does anyone have a part number for the 2 bungs on the end of the roof at the tailgate??
  7. As in the title guys. I'm aware people have fitted the mk5 golf gti/r32 skirts with much success but I'm not a fan of the upturn on the dog leg. A guy in work bought a mk6 golf bluemotion and I've been looking at his side skirts fitted do his and I'm wonder if anyone would know if they would possibly fit the mk2? Only option ime left with is to try and get a day at the breakers to find a set and offer them up but some of the breakers here don't like you removing parts if you aren't taking them.
  8. Right guys let me thank softscoop again for his detective work on this issue, but there is always a bloody but! I had contacted my local skoda dealer with the new part number in hand and q high hope I'd have a towing eye cover in hand within the week. Well it's hasnt been that straight forward. My local dealer run the part number and said yes the FAA number is correct but he doesn't have the part in stock and can't order it from skoda as they dropped the part in July 2020 and didn't offer a replacement to it. So he checked the akoda dealers within the UK and know one has any old stock sitting anywhere. So I emailed a skoda dealer in Drogheda Ireland I knew off and enquired and again they didn't have the part can't order it and know one in Ireland has one either. So I came across a website based in Slovakia (oem something) and it's listed on there page but said they have no stock. I also contacted skoda uk to see if that can help and have any contact with the factory in the off chance (we can all hope) there's one in the factory somewhere but they don't deal with parts enquires. So at this moment in time I can either keep searching for one in the hope one appears on ebay (there is a complete red rear sport bumper there at present but I only paid £100 for the 2 bumpers and he's looking £120 for the rear only and I'd still need to ship it to Northern Ireland) or someone on here MIGHT have one or (and this is a big IF) if someone has one and can either have a copy made in a local 3d printing place or a CAD file I can take to my local company to have one or 2 printed (I understand there's costs involved and willing to pay them as long as it ain't overly priced) or if anyone on here has any contact with a skoda dealer in Europe who can put me in touch to source one? I know it sounds a bit excessive for a towing eye cover buy I like the look of the bumpers and it stands out from the vrs I think. So any help is appreciated guys.
  9. Thank you very much for thr detailed info in this.
  10. Right I have eventually tracked a sport owner who kindly sent me a pic of the towing eye cover but I'm assuming because the sports are rare its going to be a nightmare to track this number down?? I googled the number and nothing g came back apart from a mention on a Russian website and even the bumper skin over the rear bumper doesn't show on my local dealers parts catalogue???? So I don't know if anyone on here has a link or access to a parts catalogue I do have a family member who works at TPS and I'm hoping he can find something out tomorrow. The number on the cover is 1z0. 807.449 It is stamped by auto test which I assume manufactured the body kit?
  11. I had a look but it's only the standard one , vrs , scout and the face-lift one.
  12. That's the 2 tow eye covers the only other is the scout one. So it's there another "hidden" part number I haven't come across?
  13. This is the body kit in question its the standard bumpers with a skin bonded over the bumper. The part number for the skin is 1Z5807796.
  14. Unfortunately not got the bumpers from the breakers and it was missing
  15. Sorry I meant doesn't fit. Some one posted 3 part numbers in a previous topic I started so I tried my standard one which is the wrong shape and size. So I ordered a vrs one from tps and its similar in shape but its too big so I'm left scratching my head. The dealers think I'm talking about a vrs when I ask so I thought hopefully someone on here still has a sport and would be able to get thr part number?
  16. Hi guys is there anyone on here who owns a mk2 octavia sport (or from what I read I believe an octavia wing in Europe?) Reason for asking is I'm trying to obtain a rear towing eye cover which I'm stumped. I put a request for towing eye covers a few weeks back and was given the only available part numbers for towing eye covers. Well the standard textured plastic one does not fit and I have obtained a vrs one which does fit and the only other available is a scout one which is a completely different shape. I hope someone on here has one that could possibly send me the part number through??
  17. That's what I have done but I'm hoping they fit but was looking to see if anyone had any experience going down this route? The guy I got them off had them on an astra (wobble bolts) with 215 40 17 with a good stretch on the tyres. But they where on a mk5 golf who he got then off but unsure about tyres. I was planning on fitting the 225s on the 8.5 rim but was advised they would be too narrow
  18. Don't know the manufacture we did think they where dare wheels but they seem to be Chinese copies. The fronts are 7.5j et35 17" and the rears 8.5j et35 17". I'm assuming the factory 225 45 17 will fit the fronts buy what about the rears.
  19. I haven't fitted them yet that's why I'm looking tyre sizes
  20. There a multifit wheel (the 2 stud patterns on the wheel) but I know the octavia is 5x112
  21. Right guys this topic I'm sure has more than likely been covered before but I end up getting confused with it but I am currently refurbing a set of BBS RS (well more like dare alloys) copies. They seem to be 5x100 and 5x112 fitment with an et35 7.5j and 8.5j. So first of all what tyres would be recommended to fit ? I'm thinking (and know factory size is) 225 45 17 , but will they fir the 8.5j rear wheels? Also I've been told either they won't fit or will be tight to fit the rears?? I don't have any suspension modifications done to the cat but I'm planning on fitting a set of sport springs all round. So is there any bright minded people in the skoda community here that I'm sure can rhyme this stuff of in there sleep or have encountered this problem before.?
