Forgot to mention, look up 'rucking'.  In short, walking with weight. It's almost as good as running for cardio/cal burn, without the impact, but obviously not as quick.

Start of with up to 10% of your body weight in a backpack. Do the same route with the weight on, a couple of times, then without. SWMBO and our little 5km walk around the block, I'm up to 20% and I do know I've done the walk ;)

Not forgetting some cooldown stretches for your calves, quads, hams, shoulders, triceps etc.

    You're joking.........................10% of my weight won't fit in a backpack LOL🤣

  2. Hi all, just for info I had a flashing coil light with limp mode a couple of days ago, code read P0238. Garage changed the Boost Pressure Sensor and test drove it.

Collected the car and within 1/2 mile dash light lit up, took the car back and after further investigation found a broken wire in the associated loom down in the depths. Soldered the wire and fixed the problem.

    Pete.

  3. I had the same problem in my Mk1, in that case it was the bulkhead drain hole that was blocked and water collected until it leaked through the bulkhead cable holes.

This happened in my case due to the car being reversed parked on my sloped drive. With heavy rain, all water from the bonnet and windscreen was flowing into the bulkhead scuttle. With my Mk11 I have made sure that the car is parked on the level so that heavy rain will be disbursed more evenly over the surfaces.

Not had the same problem in over 4 years.

    Pete

  4. I found that was the 1st sign of something not right, then small fluctuations with lower temps over time. Then finally not getting to 90C on most drives, that was when I had DSG thermostat changed and got back to a quick 90C permanently.☺️

I had to tell my independent garage what to change as they seemed to want to change the main thermostat.
