  1. Thanks for that, really helpful. That technical document is very good, thanks 🙏
  2. That does look good, so much better than standard. We’re you able to use the original wheel bolts?
  3. I have a 2018 Superb Sportline 150 TDi. it has a 7 speed DSG. is this the DQ200 ‘box or something else? I’ve read a few horror stories about the DQ200, not overly concerned as the car has a 2yr Skoda warranty but I’d still like to know what the ‘box is!
  4. Well after a while away from the fold, I moved back across to Skoda in November last year with purchase of a Fabia Monte Carlo TSi. Used as our second car and insurable for my daughter who had recently passed her test. I was really impressed with the Fabia and it reminded me of my Old 2016 Octavia Scout. That car was deemed a total loss following a fairly reasonable prang in November 2020 when someone pulled out in front of me on a main road. I got a 2018 Kia Sportage after that. Decent car but after 6 months it was sold to buy a car my daughter could learn to drive in. I ended up in an absolute mint 2017 BMW 420d MSport. Had all the toys on it, MSport Pro pack, Pro Nav, Harmon Kardon sound system and it was mint. Absolutely lovely to drive, quick, economical, very good looking it was a lovely car. Was being the key word there. It got written off a week ago (🤬😭) when someone didn’t look, pulled out and hit the front of the car. I still can’t quite believe they’ve written it off, but not much I can do about it. Anyhow with fond memories of my Scout and being so impressed with the Fabia, I found myself at the local Skoda Garage putting a deposit down on a late 2018 Superb Sportline 150TDI DSG in Moonstone white. Great looking car and from what I’ve read a good mix of economy and comfort. Had the 150 TDi in my scout and I was always quite impressed with how it drove, always seeming to have more power that you’d expect. Well that’s quite a long intro to ‘I’ve bought a Superb Sportline’ but I’m quite looking forward to getting it. Are there many on here? Be keen to hear of your 5oughts, although if it’s to bad then maybe keep it to yourself, it’s not been a good week!!
  5. After a few years away from the brand after my previous Skoda was written off, this week see’s me picking up the new wheels. a 1.2TSi 110 Fabia Monte Carlo. looking forward to having another Skoda back on the drive!
  6. What are the loops on the bars that fit around the roof bar made of? Looks like a rubber type material, if so how secure are they from a security point of view? not much point having a locking system if you could just cut through them with a Stanley knife!?
  7. Bulbs arrived today and fitted. All round a huge improvement. H15 Osram Cool Blue Intense are much better than the standards, brighter and a much sharper ‘cut offf’ on the low beam. The H7 20 Twenty Daylights are good, very bright and the same colour as the H15’s. Give a much better reach of light than the standard H7’s. They claim 120% brighter than standard and I wouldn’t argue with that. For £14.99 they are a good buy.
  8. 65 Plate with an Amundsen unit. It’s whatever you do via the online update portal. I’ve never done it!
  9. Oh ok, that’s got my attention. Might ask that question on Friday as mine is in for a warranty job.
  10. Got in the car, had a fidget around in the drivers seat to get comfortable and there was a loud clunk from the backrest of the seat. The lumbar support is now U/S. The adjustment lever still moves freely but seemingly is no longer attached to anything! I called the local stealers and it’s booked in on Friday for them to take a look. Whilst they have it they will also look and see if they can find out what the very annoying intermittent vibration/ buzzing is that comes from the steering column cover. annoys the life out of me when it does it
  11. They look good. I don’t imagine they’d last long in my car, weekly helpings of mud and horse **** would see to that ! It would be nice of my car stayed clean for more than a day or two!
  12. You could always go and park outside the main dealers with a big sign saying “Speak to me before you buy” Have your car, show some potential customers your cars robust build quality and tell them Skodas response. I’d imagine they might become helpful. Sometimes a bit of legal direct action works wonders!
  13. What’s Smartlink? Ive seen the icon in my menu but I don’t have it. Is it worth having?
  14. I am going to do mine, car is just approaching 24mths old and I have never done it. My question I see how is it done? Do I use the original SD card from the card and put the update on there, or is it a fresh SD card? Does the unit recognise the card or do you have to prompt it somehow? I did find an online ‘guide’ but it wasn’t very guiding!
