Collecting it on Saturday now
-
No, might ping the dealer this week for an update. I'm not too concerned about timeline, it will get here when it gets here.
-
Can't recall signing anything tbh! But dealer has confirmed they will be going with the original/lower APR for me. Would be a bit of a shock going from 0% on my last two Octavia's to 7.9%!
-
I noticed that APR on a PCP has shot up to 7.9%, I hope that's not going apply to my order, that's a steep increase from 2.9/3.9%
-
Mine has been built and currently in Emden port awaiting a ship to Ireland... should have it by end of month hopefully.

Latest update from Skoda via the dealer, after the last update was looking promising: "This unit is unfortunately delayed, with the likely delay affecting it being component shortages due to a lack of supply from Chinese suppliers. We do expect a large portion of delayed units to complete in CW51 and CW52 however there is no guarantee this unit will be one of them" So I'm guessing late Jan/early Feb delivery at the earliest now.

Hatch, 1.0 TSi, Style. Options are Sunset Glass, heated steering wheel and adaptive cruise control. Dealer shared it with me

Ordered mine late April, production started early Oct. Have delayed delivery until January, no point in taking receipt of it Nov/Dec on a 222 plate..

Many thanks for all the feedback, I'll try and follow your approaches and see if I have more success next time. -
Park Assist - how to actually use it!
irlrobins posted a topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Hey all, 2019 Octavia III with the optional extra of the Park Assist. I've had the car for 2.5 years and I've never once been able to use this function! Admittedly, most of the time when I'm parking I handle it in human mode, but there's been a few times I thought using the Park Assist might help me get into a particularly tight parallel parking spot. But I've never succeed to get it to work, despite trying to follow the instructions in the owner manual. Here's the process I try and follow (Irish car, so driving on the left): I activate the Park Assist by pressing the button on the console and slowly drive by a suitable spot, indicating to the left (passenger side) The display will eventually change to B in the this image: I stop, engage reverse and then almost without fail it says Park Assist operation stopped or similar and I'm back into human mode. What am I doing wrong?? -
Just picked up my 19 reg Octavia hatch this morning. Haven't had much time to check everything and play with the new features as I was solo parenting this weekend. But one thing i did notice was that the boot would not close fully, with the usual effort that would have closed it in my 16 Octavia. You really have to slam it to get it closed fully. I'm hoping this just needs the catch/striker to be adjusted and wondering if I could do this myself easily, rather than the hassle of taking a half day to bring it back to the dealer. Any suggestions?

What is the latest version? My System info show hardware of H24 and Software of 0245. Is there a later version? -
Cheers did the trick. In case anyone else looks for this thread later, this vid might help

Have the same issue myself. Dinevalesco, did you manage to get it sorted? What technique did you use?

The factory options thread - peoples feedback

Teron 17" - Looks better than the Denoms I think, especially with silver body. No additional costFront sensors - Handy for wife who is a little short and isn't always certain where bonnet ends Front Assist - Saved my wife ploughing into a numpty cyclist who was cut across a 3 lane roundabout. Paid for itself right there. Heated seats - Warms you up a lot quicker than the air vents in winter. Surprised about how quickly they get to temp. Def a must Sunset glass - Makes the car look way better! Kid friendly too Reversing camera - Gives you ability to squeeze every inch out of a tight turn. Would have paid for it, but thankfully comes as standard on Style spec in Ireland Smart link - Way cheaper than the GPS option, in fact it's free in Ireland. Would love to see Google Maps achieve CarPlay certification as I think it's way better than Apple Maps. But love how easy it is to connect phone and use Spotify for long journeys
