  1. Hard to say. This one feels just less powerful. I've had heating with wires and without wires and both made ice turn to water quickly. This one takes minutes to see any effect.
  2. I find it like you do, underwhelming. It's much slower than in my previous car, which was a octavia 3 estate. It's still moderately useful but i feel a bit cheated.
  3. I had similar on my 2016 Octavia and it was fine. But on my 2021 Octavia it is not so. It takes up to 5 minutes to soften the ice on a frozen windscreen and even then it needs to be scraped off.
  4. I wondered about the same thing. It's a film /membrane kind of a thing and it is just not very powerful.
  5. No TSI 2.0 RS 4X4 available in Finland and i don't recall seeing one. You can see the brochure here https://www.skoda.fi/vertaile-ja-osta/hinnastot-ja-esitteet#octavia (OCTAVIA hinnasto).
  6. Thanks for your answers! I drive mostly on good roads, but some of the country roads i use frequently are in a poor state most of the time. With the PHEV battery being so expensive i thought i could use some extra protection against rocks. https://www.skoda-auto.com/world/rough-road-package Here it says that the kit includes 15 mm of additional height, protective plates and new springs and shocks. Atleast here in Finland you can order a PHEV with 17 inch rims, which is what i plan to do.
  7. Hello! I'm wondering about how the so called rough road kit affects the ride on a PHEV? I've tried searching multiple forums and came up with nothing regarding the current model. I understand the package includes bottom armour, new springs and perhaps adjusted shocks (?), depending on the source. Does anyone have a PHEV model with the packege? My current 1.5 tsi 2020 Octavia has quite a soft chasis and i'm considering upgrading to a PHEV with the RR kit, but i'm concerned that the added weight with longer springs makes the car feel like a boat. I've read some accounts about the earlier octavia models that the RR kit makes the suspension stiffer, which would be nice.
  8. Sorry, i have no reference or campaign number for the fix.
  9. I had the autohold not releasing the brakes issue on a 2021 octavia combi manual. First i had a clutch pedal position sensor (?) replaced, but that did not help. Later in june -21 a software patch was issued and i haven't had any problems since. So there should be a fix available.
  10. I've had a similar problem occasionally. The stick goes in but the gear does not quite engage, so i need to try few times. This happened with reverse and 1st gear. I have not encountered it recently and it was more frequent during the first 5 000 km or so. I also feel that it was more frequent when S/S was on. I always switch it off during winter time so can't if it really is so.
  11. Hello, i had a similar problem and i was initially told that this was due to a faulty glutch pedal sensor (no idea what the official term would be). It was replaced but that did not help. Then in June (or april) a software fix was installed to my car and it sorted the problem. Haven't had any issues since.
  12. That is strange. I had an identical issue and i was told by the dealer that it is a known issue and that there would be a software fix for it. The fix came eventually and was applied to my car and i haven't had the issue since.
  13. On my car the eco-icon is seen on the speed-o-meter when the ACT kicks in, regardless of the driving mode.
  14. With manual gearbox i think the sport mode just makes the gas pedal more responsive. My previous car (octavia 3) had the same 110 kW. I don't feel that i'm missing much power. I just had to adjust the way i drive little bit, downshifting more often. Also i think the new car is much nicer to drive in traffic and at slow speed. It has nice torque on low RPM. On a level road 5th gear works nicely at 50 km/h and it gives good fuel economy. I use 5th gear on country roads (50 - 80 km/h) and leave the 6th for the highways.
