  2. Thats why im asking!!!!!!
  3. To pick up one of those for £200 brand new. Is that a bargain?
  4. Spar "Premium" lager. Its not great but does the job. AS I get older, I turn into more of a lightweight. 5 years from now, I'll be trolly'd on 4 cans of Carling C2....... I hate getting old..
  5. Im considering going from drunk to wasted... Gimme another can and I bet it'll happen.
  6. Short selling in banks is now frowned upon... Speculation is oil should be the same. Its scaremongering from the ppl that actually make money that causes this kind of **** in the first place....
  7. ... so which section do I post pointless crap in first....????? Oh hang on a minute.. I think I answered my own question!
  8. Or just take public transport. Any modern bus will give you the required blow off sound that you need.....
  9. I had a 2.5V6 Diesel manual for about 3.5 years. Had quite a few mods done to it at never had a problem with it in that time. It had 90k on the clock when I traded on. It was an excellent car and would not be put off buying one. If you see one at the right price with all its history intact, Id recommend going for it
  10. Sorry - Meant to say Barnsley, South Yorkshire....
  11. www.towcar.info is a good place to start for getting car/caravan match ups. OOOO, this is my 1000th post.
  12. Any diesel will be fine for towing, though the one with the highest torque figure is what I would go for. What you have to consider is what type caravan will you be looking to get. You have to consider its weight (the recommended 85% towing rule) and the nose weight of the car. www.towcar.info is a decent site for matching cars to 'vans.....

  14. OK Folks, as the car has been in my posession for a little over 24 hours, I need to start modding now. Whats the first port of call would anyone recommend? Im holding off on a remap for now as that and the exhaust will be done at the same time I reckon. ta very muchly..
  15. Combination of running costs (ie diesel) and the fact that I no longer own a caravan so towing is no longer required. I'll be honest that the PHaeton was the dream car I always wanted. I've owned it and done it but the car that always talk about even with the wife was my MK1 VRS. Since that car Ive had a Superb V6 TDi and the Phaeton but they've never "hit the spot" shall we say as the old MK1. So far, signs for the MK2 are promising. My wife has named her Brenda....
  16. I dont really want to say what it was worth, but it hurt!
  17. Thats the Phaeton... Petrol of course. Soot chucking is a thing of the past...
  18. ... and I pick this bugger up on Thursday. Missed my old MK1 vRS so much I've decided to go back to the car I always loved. Totally standard for now. CANT BLOODY WAIT!!!!!
