  1. Maybe the pictures from Ebay should be placed on the Briskoda Home Page, to demonstrate how "true modding" of Skoda's should be done! Tiger skins will look classy in my Octy vRS. OOOOH, I'm such a tart! :P
  2. Very classy interior!
  3. CW Shredder is great for ripping out POPUPs. If you;ve not done done so already, upgrade to SP2 for XP, run CW Shredder and then use Ad-aware. If you want to stop nasty little Trojans, or popup infections, I would recommend using the Firefox web browser. I swear by this!
  4. Judging by the front web page, they'll even attach a BBQ to the side of your car!

  7. Getting the car chipped is a must. A few days ago, I had the timed Revo demo (which is restricted to about 200 bhp) applied to my car by JBS Auto Designs, and certainly noticed the difference. Now the demo has expired and the car is back to normal, it feels like it is now lacking. :thumbdwn: So I''m off back to JBS next weekend to have the full program applied, as well as the DV and TIP changed. Looking forward to about 220bhp.
  8. Yep, I'm a vRS owner and it happened to me a few times. I was getting a contiunous light from the dash board and had this on at least 3 occasions. I've forgot the diagnosis code (I think it was 17705 but could be wrong) and the ECU was saying "Bank B running rich" and did turn out to be a faulty sensor. The car behaved perfectly, appart from the light on the dash. Touch wood, I have not seen the fault for a good few months now, but it was only a 5 minute job for DM Keith in Bradford. Stangely, I did get my first warning light about 2000 miles after it's 30K service. Spooky.
  9. Seems the Milltek is the choice offering. Where is the best place to get one fitted? I live in South Yorkshire so I dont fancy travelling miles to get the job done
  10. I've decided it's now time to change the exhaust. Milltek & Jetex seem to be high on my list so it
  11. Hi All, I am thinking of upgrading my speakers in my Octy vRS and since reading the forums it seems that some Pioneer speakers can be direct replacements. On that point I am looking at fitting the below Pioneer models Pioneer TS-G1718 in the front Pioneer TS-G1318 Speakers in rear. As I am a complete novice to this, but will be assisted by a friend I was wondering if the above speakers are a good choice and if there are any suprises I should watch out and what else do I need? The speakers will be driven by the standard HU for now but later in the year, I intend to buy the PIONEER DEH P7500MP head unit. Is this a good choice and will this head unit and speakers complement each other nicely? Any advice are comments would be very much appreciated cheers
  12. Had mine changed only a couple of weeks ago!
  13. Cheers for that. I'll make a note of this and put it to the dealer. Be interesting to see what they come back with.
  14. Folks, Over the last couple of months, my engine management light keeps popping on and staying on. My car is an Octy vRS and I've had the AA out a couple of times who cleared that fault. The 3rd time it happened, I had it back to the dealers who say the "cleaned" out a few things and sent me on my way. Well, tonight, the damn thing has come on again and its getting annoying now. When it did happen the 1st time, the nice AA chappie told me the error code (which I have forgot) but it was to do with fuel control. I can remember the description gave as something like "Bank B running rich". The cars performance is *NOT* affected in anyway, so I was wondering if anyone knows what the exact problem maybe, or is there anything I can do myself to keep getting rid of the fault. (Personally, I do not have any self diag tools for the car). I dont want to be fobbed off by the dealer with some more "cleaning" plus its a 40 mile round trip everytime something trivial like this happens. Any help would be much appreciated cheers
  15. Hi Folks, I currently just the bog standard factory ICE setup in my car at the moment and am looking for something that gives a bit more clout. I am saving the pennies for external mods, but dont want to neglect my ears so I am looking at upgrading my cars speakers (Head unit will be done towards the end of the year). My thoughts are what do you recommend? I dont want to have to butcher my car, straight swaps if possilble, but I do want something that the standard HU can handle well prior to me replacing it. Any suggstions on speakers and prices would be much appreciated?
  16. Folks, Bailey DV valve will be fitted tomorrow but I am already looking for the next piece to bolt on to my little Octy VRS, in this case an exhaust. I am basically just wondering what would be the recommended course of action. I've seen Jetex and Milltek get regular mentions so people, I throw it open to you all. What would you decide, and what options do I have open to myself? cheers!
  17. It did com with a very small 90 degree pipe sticking out of the top.
  18. Just received my new Bailey DV30 from Jabba this morning. I have seen various articles on the T'internet regarding fitting these types of valve, and all talk about additional hoses and clips coming as part of a kit. As I only received the valve itself, have I managed to do an act of great baffoonery and only order the one part? As this will be the first time I have ever attempted to fit something like this, I was was wondering if its just a matter of old valve out and the Bailey in. I hope this is the case as I did not get any fitting instructions. And I don't fancy doing a 300 mile round trip for 30mins of installation work!!! Please help a car modder in training
  19. Hello all, I've been thinking about making a few tweaks to get a bit more out of my Octavia vRS but I've always been a bit cautious regarding the car warranty. I'm looking at fitting: Bailey DV30 from Jabba Replacing the turbo intake hose, probably the with one by Forge Motor Sport Replacing the standard exhaust with a performance system (Milltek seem to offer a good option) And finally a Jabbasport chip. Insurance is not really a problem, but warranty is. I've never had much look with previous cars (especially Peugeots) and the Octavia vRS is the first car I bought from new. Although I have had a couple of small niggles, nothing major, these have all been sorted under the warranty and I don't want this to be affected. The car is coming up to 2 years old, and I know I'm probably just being over cautious. Any advice would be much appreciated. cheers
