I'm using a Henry together with a £6 attachment kit from eBay. Very robust and good for other dusty jobs which would kill a Dyson

Thanks for the replies. Having trawled around the internet, I'm tempted to give Detailed Online Surreal a go. Seems to offer what I'm looking for at a reasonable price

Thanks for the replies. I had a quick look around the internet and there are some reports that the double speed wax can haze even after buffing. Is this something you have found ?

Having just tried some Bouncers Done & Dusted Si left me very impressed. However I wondered if there are any waxes out there that mimic the D&D i.e really glossy, very slick finish, reasonably long lasting and won't break the bank.

That's a good suggestion, thanks

Dr Leather dye block and their cleaning wipes to maintain. Most modern leather is coated so a conditioner is not required. If you use a conditioner it justs sits on top of the coating attracting dirt and gives the appearance of looking shiny

Looking for some input to help me decide which of these polishers to get. If my research is correct the plus is a smoother machine with a bigger orbit, which makes it easier to correct larger areas faster. However it won't take smaller backing plates so can't do smaller parts of the car. 1. If anyone can please confirm my understanding that would be great 2.For any plus owners. What parts of a car would I be unable to correct using the 5.5 plate All advice appreciated

This is something I've been mulling over for a while but would appreciate some thoughts from the collective wisdom on here. Is there much difference in appearance between the various waxes / sealants you have used. Its clear there are significant differences in ease of application and longevity but what about looks ? If say one half of a bonnet was waxed with product A could you tell the difference between the other side where wax B was used. This then leads on to if you can, why are qd's / spray sealants used by so many as potentially the finish is that of the last product applied rather than the wax or sealant used ? I may be opening a can of worms but you often see posts with statements such as nice wet look, glassy etc and wondered if people were really seeing a difference or as I have a suspicion the real difference lays the polishing beneath ? Tips on using Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection
Taxboy replied to Chilli1's topic in Styling and Car Care
You might want to try EGP as a wheel sealant, worked pretty well for me. I think the reason it's fallen out of favour is the long cure time...... although this could be considered a bonus as it gives you an excuse for a cuppa and a kit kat -
I guess somewhere like your local sign maker might be able to offer that, although not certain of the cost for a one off

A bit early for the Christmas list I know but here's something for the detailer with everything https://www.kerbappealdetailing.com/online-store/Detailing-Carpet-Stencils-Popular-vehicle-brands-IN-STOCK-NOW-p111442104 Please note I have no connection with the retailer and haven't bought from them. Just thought I'd share the idea

What Products are standing the test of time

Going back through the forum there is a wealth of information where a number of users have generously provided detailed reviews and products over time. My question is which products are people still using and going back to having tested a variety or is it a case of trying new things hoping they will be better. From a personal perspective I'm trying to reduce my stash and use products that work for me. I have a hunch that there are relatively few game changing products out there and the majority offer a very small gain over existing products or the law of diminishing returns I'd be interested in people's thoughts on this
