  1. In Finland the Winter package includes Auxiliary heating (Webasto), heated wind screen and heated rear seats.

Front seats are heated as standard on all cars.

    From the manual, page 107:

"The auxiliary heating heats the vehicle interior as well as the engine. For heating, fuel is consumed from the fuel tank.

The auxiliary ventilation enables fresh air to flow into the vehicle interior with the engine switched off,

whereby the interior temperature is effectively decreased (e.g. with the vehicle parked in the sun)."

If you have auxiliary heating, you should have a button for it in Climatronic and a remote controller.

I think the supplementary heating is a electrical heating element (PTC) as mentioned earlier.

  2. ... there is a cold world far north where we actually drive cars in minus 30 deg C ?

I hate the fact that this is coming on the 2017 model, half a year after I bought mine

    +1

This is a picture from my Seat on a fairly cold morning in February.

Would have taken heated steering wheel if possible, luckily my car park is near so I can use the Webasto.

  3. So first, I would chance the "side light" to a "main beam".

Then I would disable the main beam from the xenons.

This way there would be dipped beam only on the xenons and main beam on the auxiliary lights?

This is a lot easier on older cars, just unplug main beam bulb and connect auxiliary lights instead.

    Like in my old car.

  4. There is an easier & free way to do this. In the headlight there is an additional 501 bulb which you can barley see and isn't needed.

You can tweak the BCM with VCDS or VCP to change the function of this from a "side light" to a "main beam"

You can just then use this as a trigger for a relay to power the lights. You will need a relay as it is only rated for 5w

    Job done!

You can even see in the tweaks section which channels need to be changed, it's only 2

This is interesting. Should be an easy way to install auxiliary lights.

I'd like to disable the main beam from original xenons altogether and use only multiple auxiliary lights as a main beam.

Just to leave the short beam as it is.

Would that be possible to code somehow?

  5. "Tuotannossa on jäänyt asentamatta vetoakselin sisemmän murroksen suojus. Tästä johtuen tehdas haluaa että autoonne vaihdetaan toisenlainen sisemmän murroksen kumi ja asennetaan sen suojus."

They have forgot to replace the leading axles interior ... protection? That's about as my finnish goes :)

Apparently there's a protective plate to cover drive shaft inner CV joint which wasn't installed. Not quite sure what that is but they've changed the joint boot and installed the cover.
