  1. I had a Octavia sel 1.4 TsI DSG 65 plate hatchback for 5 years and now have a 21 plate Karoq Edition 1.5Tsi Dsg, for the last 2.5 years I changed because I wanted a tow car and a higher ride and was due a change anyway. I transfered the rubber mats across which confirmed the floor pan is identical for the front and about 3" shorter in the Karoq for the rear. The boot is a good 10" shorter on the Karoq too. They both drive the same in terms of road holding. The octavia gave me 8mpg more. they are both great cars. Unless you want to sit up high I'd say the Octavia is is the way to go especially as you are looking at the estate.
  2. Hi, My Karoq is just 3 years old 1.5TSI DSG, and I have to decide wether or not to take up the extended warranty and was wondering, has anyone on here had a succesful claim on the extended warranty and also has anyone had a claim refused and if so what was it.
  3. I had my Octavia 1.4 tsi cambelt changed at 5 years and 38k miles and asked for the old belt and tensioners back. On inspection they looked brand new. I still have them . I am on hols at moment but will post photos when i get back.
  4. Hi Edwards Thanks for reply. I already tow a 2 birth at 1234kg mtplm but the wifes talking about an upgrade to a fixed bed. And I am not sure wether my Karoq is up to the job hence the question
  5. Well with a 107 views and no replies I'd say nobody does!
  6. Does anyone on here tow a fixed bed caravan with a 1.5 petrol dsg 2 wheel drive? If so how dies it cope? Regards Bob
  7. 99Ron E5 every time!
  8. Has anyone fitted 225x45/19 instead of 225x40/19 for a softer ride for their Karoq?

Hi, may I ask what driving mode you are usually in?
  10. Hi, towers of caravans, what do the caravan towers on this forum do to cover the breakdown of the car and caravan, I see from the Skoda roadside assistance that Skoda only tow the caravan to "the nearest place of safety" thats not going to cut it if the car is laid upo for any length of time, does this render the Skoda assistance useless when towing a caravan or large trailer for that matter? regards Bob.
  11. Hi JR, do you tow with your Yeti? Is it FrontWD, if so how does it cope on wet grass, I am looking at a 1.4tsi DSG Karoq, and are worried about being stuck in the mud. I wondering do I need a 4x4 towing 1400KG
  12. Ian Platts posted this 23 February 2022 08:31:23 Has anybody used these or similar Anti Skid Tyre Bocks to get out of a muddy field when towing?
  13. I have seen a Karoq 1.5tsi DSG with electric towbar amongst other tasty accesories and want to tow a 1300kg caravan, Is anyone on here towing a similar rig and could comment on its suitability. I would have liked the 4x4 version, and wondering do I really need it. The spec of the car I have seen is perfect for me apart from the 4x4. Comments would be appreciated. I currently own (last 6 years) Octavia 1.4tst DSG hatch.
  14. Did you see the old belt, what condition was it in?
