  1. They are bad folks ... Wrong sparks used, Bosch FR7ldc+ (NGK BKR6EK) instead of Bosch F5KPP332SBN (NGK PFR7S8EG) ... According this photo loss of compression happened on cylinder 2 and not 4 as they said ... Are you sure the engine did not drink oil over the alloved limit? Melted exhaust valve on cyl2 says something different, oil thirsty beast ... "Oil consumption wasn't too bad ,around a litre for a thousand miles" says everything, a bit over or just on the limit (up to 0,5 litre for 624 miles/1000km) for long time does what it has done.
  2. https://car-recalls.eu/official-vw-skoda-and-seat-recall-for-some-bouncing-1-5-tsi-engines/ same info as in source link posted above
  3. https://www.kfz-rueckrufe.de/vw-seat-und-skoda-rueckruf-wegen-anfahrschwaeche/6785/ https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.kfz-rueckrufe.de%2Fvw-seat-und-skoda-rueckruf-wegen-anfahrschwaeche%2F6785%2F This is only a part of the whole issue with 1.5TSI DADA 110kW engine ... If you do not have any friendly dealer nearby you who could look at ELSA PRO information system for you, you can check yourself all available TPI released for your VIN at erWin for few € https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showHome.do https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showInfoTour.do https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showOrderFlatrate.do
  4. The xls list only show complete overview of data files which are released for each brand. Does not mean all are the latest ones, so you can notice, some ECU have more then one SW version available, other just one, usually the latest one but it could be too the same what is already applied in the car on the production line few months ago. What is currious, same ECUs used abroad the VAG brands, but currently Skoda seems to be the first one to test all the healing updates ... Why is it, are the Czechs the best ones, or are they and their customers the laboratory mice ... πŸ˜† BTW. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Retrofitting#Software_Version_Management_.28SVM.29
  5. @Poul TPI was up to date at the moment of its release, see table of currently available updates πŸ˜‰ For 05E906018AL is already version 9692 available, but dealers will wait for TPI update ... @dnzbdr Audi has released no updates so far for A, you have bought bad brand car ... 😜 SVM stay for Software Versions Management.
  6. @dnzbdr in general yes, but 4x4 versions have different ones @Janner74 if you ask about Karoq, so yes, currently only Skoda have available update version 05E906018P_9752 for your Karoq without OPF, likely first test drivers for VAG group ... @kifir It is usual that new firmware update changes the hardware version too, so trust them, your ECU is SW updated and its HW number was changed too, from A to BH suffix.
  7. @kifir Well, it seems that update for ECU 05E906018 BH was used indicating the version 9622, but ECU itself seems to be 05E906018 A, but I guess only. Well, they should know what they do and if itΒ΄s possible to use that update. But it is usual that new firmware update changes the hardware version too ECU 05E906018A was used until 1.10.2018 with code PR-7MV which means Emission standard EU6 ZD/E/F ECU 05E906018BH was used from 1.10.2018 with the same emission homologation Emission standard EU6 ZD/E/F, so still without OPF ... First Octavias with OPF had ECU 05E906018AL, from 30.7.2018 till 8.7.2019, code PR-7CS, which means Emission standard EU6 BG/H/I and actualy from 8.7.2019 Octavias have ECU 05E906018AS, code PR-4BF, which means Emission standard EU6 DG all version still same engine code DADA, so 1.5 TSI 110kW, only at Octavia III ...
  8. Engine ECU is mounted at engine bay, unfortunately under protective cover with non removable shear bolts, so you can not see the numbers printed on its label. So the only easy way how to find out what ECU you have there is to use the diagnostics as even VAG ETKA catalogue can give wrong results...
  9. @kifir Do you know what Engine Control Unit you have in your MY2018 Octavia III? Did you get any paperwork from the dealer or do you know what software version was applied? Octavia MY 2018 should have ECU number 05E906018A, for such no new update version than 6019 was released so far, so would be interesting to know what do you have in your Octy. List of updates available for DADA and DACA 1.5 TSI Engines, in Karoq used ECUs 05E906018 ending P or R or S or AT, same as for VW T-Roc and Seat Ateca (no data guarantee )
  10. Skoda latest answer for all Karoqs, all Skoda dealers should know more longer than a week ... MY 2018 without OPF, manual and DSG, front wheel drive FL_05E906018P_9752__V001.frf MY 2019 with OPF, manual and DSG, front wheel drive FL_05E906018R_9832__V001.frf MY 2019 with OPF, DSG, four wheel drive FL_05E906018S_9757__V001.frf
  11. That is the exact driving in the overrun mode
  12. Get your left foot and leg checked at your MD. orthopedic 2.0 TDI is absolutely different powertrain in comparison to 1.5 TSI
  13. All new VAG cars and not just them have the new "green" energy management system, which utilise brake energy recuperation ... This stay behind the flat batteries left at 12V and lower state ... It is based on Start-Stop system, but it can not be switched off by the switch as Start-Stop. Pulling the connector from unit J367 out can do the trick for both systems Energy management.pdf
  14. we live in the plastics age ... https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fforum.skodahome.cz%2Ftopic%2F144797-predne-led-svetla-popraskane-okraje%2F
  15. Well, because of EU6 DG emissions standard, mandatory from 01.09.2019, new ECUs and therefore software will be introduced to other VAG cars too, all will have 4BF as for PR code of equipment. I wonder if they had enough time to test it all more than for WLTP and RDE test requirements ... That all begins on production lines from 8th July 2019, new ECUs are Karoq 05E906018 AT Kodiaq 05E906018 BC SupIII 1.5 TSI ends to 8.7.2019 at Superb OIII already mentioned in post above 05E906018 AS 05E906018 CD for CNG fuel Scala 05E906018 AQ
