  1. What a couple of days. Got the car to the garage first thing yesterday and straight away started having issues. First thing was the turbo, mines was fitted with a KKK/Borgwarner turbo rather than a Garrett and the new turbo I had was a Garrett. Next issue was the “bolt on” intercooler that was made specifically made for this platform yet no matter how we tried to line it up there was no where for the brackets to go. Then we get to the egr cooler. On other fabias that they gave did the connectors have been a 16mm but mine had to be a 20mm so called the place who couldn’t get one delivered so ended up hiring a car driving down to Wakefield to get the pipe and also a quick detour to Darkside Developments to pick up a braided oil feed as the standard one was causing issues and a turbo intake pipe as the one provided was too small. Getting there though.

  6. Pretty much yeah. The next round is on a kart track plus we have 3 rounds at the kames sprint track and one on the runway at leuchars.

  8. Round 2 for the Scottish Road Car Series at Knockhill today run by Glenrothes Motorsport Club. Managed to get my test 1 runs done in the dry before it started pouring down with test 2 being wet. 18 cars entered and managed to come 8th. Test 1 Run 1 Run 2 Run 3 Test 2 Run 1 Run 2 Carried far too much speed into the right hander after the Hairpin and esp kicked in at the wrong time but was the fastest run. Run 3 .1 slower than run 2 comparing run 2 and 3 extra run
  9. Looks like Darkside have lowered the 1.6 tdi time down from a 14.9 to a 14.5 new target to aim for now

  12. Not sure on the tsi but every standard 105 tdi I’ve seen dyno’d has made 119bhp.
  13. First round of the Scottish Road Car Series today. Had fantastic fun with my mate Craig who was in his Leon Cupra Estate. Spend a few times walking the course and it looks like you had loads of room till you actually drive the course! :shock: Started off on Course 2 Hit one of the pylons on the first run because i was being too fast and too aggressive. By run 3 i had slowed it right down which gave me more time to move the car and ended up faster. Handbrake doesn't lock the rears hence the oil tanker turning circle. Run 1 Run 2 Run 3 Course 1 was much faster and and better for my car again kept it in first gear the whole run. Had issues with the Go Pro so only got 1 of my 3 runs Course 3 was a combination of both course 2 which then went into course 1 absolutely love this. Run 1 Run 2 last run of the day this time i had the confidence to go for 2nd gear at points. Should have done it earlier as on the run between course 2 to 1 and down the dip then back up it i was 5 mph faster! Run 2 Looking forward to the next round at Knockhill now! Also flicking through some of the records on the Crail website im sitting 2nd overall in the up to 1600cc diesel class.
