  1. I know it's not relevant to this forum but I just want to introduce you to the newcomer. For the record, Superb remains in the family anyway...
  2. In may it will be three years of stage 3. Once I had to change all four injectors due to low quality petrol. Other than that, no problem. Supersprint rear muffler... I have to sell them but I haven't had time to advertise yet 😅
  3. Hi @Bigeater, I'm waiting for the new car I ordered, I've decided over the past few months that I've invested too much in the Superb to resell it and therefore it's going to be wify's car. For this reason, I made some small modifications: I reinstalled the original engine mounts (the racing ones caused vibrations), I reinstalled stock rear mufflers. Obviously a setup like this I have to pay more attention using only 100 octane petrol, oil change every year, spark plugs replaced every year. Always let it warm up before pushing and leave it at idle for a few minutes before turning it off. But the car runs very well!
  4. Planning on selling my Superb, I took some quality photos for the ad...
  5. Yes, you can safely say that they are very badly finished. A while ago I got to use a Ford Edge, which is supposed to be a high-end model in the Ford list, but the finish surprised me in the negative. The Mustang is no exception, it's immediately evident that it is very spartan inside. The handbrake lever that rises almost vertically... horrible. On a brand new car that is on sale for € 78,500. But that engine sound...
  6. Here you can see some photos of my 16/13 spacers 👋
  7. it is very wide and, perhaps you do not understand from the photos, but it has a really huge front. For example, if you stand in front of the car, you barely touch the center of the front hood. Amazing. For comparison, in the Superb I can get to the windshield wipers while standing in front of the car. The cost of fuel is also now a big outlay, as I drive between 6.5 to 7.5 km/l (17 to 21 mpg) on average on a full tank. And every tank i add 1 lt can of octane booster (25€ each time) that keeps injectors clean and also improves octane.
  8. We won't have v8 cars for much longer, the new Mustang that should be presented next year will be hybrid too 😱. Lexus costs a lot and I am not thrilled, if I could afford it I would rather go on an amg v8. Other than that, it doesn't seem to me that Lexus currently sells v8 models, at least not here in Italy. But they would be out of my reach anyway... she says the only nice thing about the Mustang is its sound ... for me it's already a good start!
  9. i've my eye on the V8 Ford Mustang... i have always loved the sound of american v8s. I went to see (and drive) the new Mustang Mach1, it's amazing. Not for the performance, but for the overall experience. I know it's a complete different car from the Superb. But you can't rule the heart. There's only a problem, my daughter doesn't like the Mustang at all, and she is trying in every way to dissuade me from selling the superb 😅!
  10. I actually paid around € 2,000 for both of them, including installation. But these have ECE approval, so I can justify the sound (or noise) the car makes if police asks me. Yes, it's true. You're right. Compared to the car I would like to order, I would have to accept lower performance and much less space. And, not least, I should also give up the finishes and the quality to which Skoda has accustomed us. If I could have chosen without thinking about the economic side, the new Alpina B5 would have been perfect. The Superb would be perfect too, if only it had 4 other cylinders forming a V ... 😄
  11. Hi @Awesam, I have no big news ... the car is spectacular as always, unfortunately I don't have much time to dedicate to it and in fact in 3 years I have only covered 17,000 km! As for the engine mounts, i was advised to wait because they would soften over time. In fact I decided to keep them: above 2,000 rpm it does not vibrate at all, below 2,000 there is a very annoying drone. But that's not a problem for me, I only drive in S 😁. After 3 years I can say that the complete stage 3 costs a lot (and it also costs a lot to maintain it), but I am fully satisfied with it, and if I went back I would most likely do everything the same way (or almost). Actually there is something new, and it is that I have fallen in love with another car and I am starting to think about selling the Superb... This saddens me a little because the Superb really has everything I could want from a car, but the car I am in love with has given me emotions just to get out of the car park where I tested it. I haven't bought it yet, but I'm seriously thinking about it. What are you planning?

  13. I upgraded mine with AP Racing rotors on both front and rear (new AP Racing calipers on the front and stock caliper on rear ones). I bought them here: FRONT: https://www.vagbremtechnic.com/front-brake-kit-6-piston-ap-racing-calipers-with-390x34mm-2-piece-discs-bk0019/ REAR: https://www.vagbremtechnic.com/rear-356x22mm-disc-upgrade-kit-for-s3-rs3-golf-r-di0019/
  14. Yes, it should be faster. Problem is the DSG map that needs to be optimized. But in any case i'm happy with low 9s for the 100-200. Yes, it was a huge improvement. And the comfort hasn't even suffered as much IMO, it's slightly stiffer than the original sport mode but much more enjoyable. Due to the increased stiffness, it suffers much less understeer and on wet roads it is much easier to oversteer under acceleration (with a little help of a pendulum turn). Still not as fast as a Mini around corners. Ok? 🤣 Now I have another problem to deal with, which started when the engine mounts started to no longer hold up under strong acceleration, especially when shifting between first and second gear. So I decided to replace them, choosing the Racingline central mount because it also has the connecting rod. Since it became almost impossible to get goods from the UK, after several weeks of waiting the seller offered me to give me the same kit in a "race" version, with more rigid supports. I accepted and installed them, with a noticeable improvement in gear shifting, much more direct. Before the car jolted when changing gear, now it is smooth and the acceleration is constant and linear. However, I solved a problem but I created a bigger one: vibrations. Now the car vibrates horribly, I would define it almost undriveable in D because under 2k rpm the car chassis resonates with a very annoying noise.
  15. This is why you will have to keep talking here on Briskoda about your Mini, so that we can keep telling you that we disagree. (Without admitting that we hardly bought our Skoda just to satisfy a personal need). 😂
