What have you done to your Superb III today?
@Colin170CR, as @Kenny R said, in case you missed it, if you pop your SD card and start the update, it will pick up where it left off if you interrupt power. I usually put mine in at the start of a journey and start the process. Then I just let it do its thing and forget about it! My internet download speed is about half of yours and it can take around 6 hours to download. I use the download links kindly provided by @MartiniB 👍

Dsg service
I think you're right @MarkyG82. I think it might be around 80k for the 7 speed. I am not 100% sure though.

I'm the same with the wheels and tyres. I put my winter 17s on with winter tyres and I always chuckle at how different it looks.

@Thorell Ditto what @mandp said. That is a lovely colour. And those tyres look excellent!

Sorry to hear that Martin. I remember this being a common fault on the mark 7 Golf on the same MQB platform. It's a warranty fix I'm sure, or, there's hopefully some video fixes on YouTube 👍

Options for ACC
I believe it becomes more aggressive in its behaviour. That is, later braking when approaching another vehicle, and, harder acceleration once you're clear of traffic. Basically it drives like an Audi driver 😂

How to Guide - Superb 3 OEM Intake Mod
I used a small ratchet with a bit holder and the torx bit. I'm a bit fuzzy on remembering the top one...have you removed the bonnet release mechanism? A clip slides out and you can lift it off for access. Let me know, and if you've done that already, I'll go out and have a check to refresh my memory.

How to Guide - Superb 3 OEM Intake Mod
I don't want to disagree with anyone, but attached is the access available with the grille off. I went nowhere near the ACC unit. Granted I wasn't going near the air intake either though so I'm not sure if things would be different in that respect. On refit, I didn't use all the grille screws. I don't think I put the bottom ones in. They kind of went overboard with their fasteners and clips usage!

Superb 280, improve none existent exhaust note?
I'm not sure if this would be worth a shot? It might be too subtle a change though. At least you'd know they were open and then see if it makes any difference at all. I might try it for interests sake to see how it goes 😁

Superb Sportline - standard spec vs options
Ah nice. That's a well equipped model. The sensors are very useful, they became standard on the SEL in MY19 so I forgot to mention them before. I'd hope that sensors would be a popular selection on any used cars. Good luck with your search!

Superb Sportline - standard spec vs options
My opinion is it depends on you! Some options are must haves for some and not for others. What are you currently driving? The spec of that might help you decide what your ideal spec might be 😁 For me, personally, I love the reverse camera and the canton speakers. Though I am in an SEL Exec model (Style if you're in Europe etc)

Excellent work @JR RS! I can see your point for removing the bumper, but the grille can come off from the bumper to give you access too. I changed my grille surround by doing it. It's not the easiest job, but I wasn't too keen on a bumper removal on my own 😂 Thank you for another great write up. I love how much work you do 💪

Intermittent Start up error
Do you know if the new battery was coded correctly to your car? So the car knows you have a new battery installed.

Electronic Parking Brake
I agree with this. I carried this small modification out and it's much much smoother now. Thanks @Bap33

It's a nice change from the white; a nice option to have. Do you have kids? I bet they'd love the colour change too!

Rear wiper not working since reverse camera fitted
Ah sorry! I must have read the first 95% of your post 🤣 That's peculiar. My mirror sometimes forgets to work but usually only for one journey. Or it forgets to come back up. What did we do before all this technology?!

Rear wiper not working since reverse camera fitted
@lowey, without wanting to sound cheeky, have you checked to make sure the tick boxes for both functions are still selected in the infotainment system? With the installer no doubt having to change settings to enable the camera, they haven't been set to default selections have they? My apologies if that's stating the obvious! It's just to rule it out 😁

Automatic break
@IanJD I've had similar when reversing into the garage. If I'm not gently braking, it thinks I'll hit the garage walls and it slams the car to a stop and a "manoeuvre" warning comes up on the dash. It scared the absolute **** out of me the first time it happened 😂

Three child seats
Someone else has 100% done this and there's photos attached too. It's just a case of finding it unfortunately! Hopefully they'll be along soon to point you in the right direction 👍

The Superb III Picture thread
Ah no way! SEL spec is what I have as well. It ticked my boxes for equipment levels. Though I added Canton, the camera and a spare too. All the best with it!

Was the remapped 272 too much for you Shy? 😝😝 Is this to replace Mrs Shy's SUV? Ps. What are your MPGs thus far? 😉

DPF Engine Warning light
My concern, if you left it, would be that it won't pass your next MOT which I assume is due in about 4 months time? Could you take it to a non franchised dealer? It would likely be a bit cheaper.

Gorgeous wheels! Enjoy it when the weekend comes 😁

Buying a Superb 280
Nothing major to look out for apart from the usual checks for any second hand car. I've got an MY19 2018 SEL Exec but mine is the 272. Mine is serviced annually as I do around 9-10k a year. I added Canton to mine which is lovely (to my ears anyway) but it's not a deal breaker. The reverse camera is a nice addition if it's fitted. Most options are personal of course so it would be whatever ticks your boxes Good luck with it all!

Predictive cruise control issues
Whilst I don't have PACC on my car, those speed drops seem to loosely tie in with the KPH and MPH problem you mentioned before. The 70 to 50 and 40 to 25 sound like the MPH equivalent of the KPH figure. Hopefully someone else (or your dealer) can help you out.
