Steering wheel volume control bust.
Attached images of wheel below. I was doing a wheel change so had the airbag off. You can see the grey wiring for the steering wheel buttons tucked around the edge. The main disconnect is that black connector at the top. I didn't transfer the buttons over but they looked easy to lift out and swap over. *EDIT* On further digging I found a photo of the airbag. Theres the big yellow connector and a smaller black one which I believe is for the steering wheel buttons. Sorry, it was 2019 when I was in there. Hopefully someone who has done a recent swap can help you out better than me π€£

Steering wheel volume control bust.
I think it's an unship of the airbag to access the wiring disconnect for the steering wheel buttons. If you had help, you could probably even get away without disconnecting the airbag if you didn't want to disturb it whilst changing the buttonsπ I'll see if I can dig out some photos of when I had my airbag out

280 exhaust!
I tried that on my MY19 272 and it was having none of it! The control module would not accept the changes unfortunately. I've seen that S3 owners have had the same issue.

What bulbs are fitted to the S3 & upgraded bulb recommendations
I forgot to upload this video of the replacement fog light LEDs I fitted last month π Not the best video but you get the idea! 20210317_230731.mp4

What bulbs are fitted to the S3 & upgraded bulb recommendations
I have had these Auxito lamps fitted for a few weeks now. https://auxito.com/products/h11-h9-led-headlight-bulbs-h8-led-bulb-12000lm-canbus-for-high-or-low-beam-6000k-white They fit no problem with the additional cooler on my 272. The light output is brilliant! I will try and get a photo if anyone is interested?

Green algae behind edge of front fog lights
Edit: @GrahamVRS beat me to it π Just the clarify, the fog lamps are easily removed. Small bumper trim piece on the inboard of each fog lamp pulls off. Then there is two torx screws on the inboard side of each fog lamp. Unscrew them and then pull the unit outwards from the end closest to the centre of the car. I think it's maybe mentioned in the manual π

Honeycomb grill install
You can remove the whole bumper if you like. I think @JR RS did it this way. I changed my grille surround and removed the entire grille with the bumper still attached. It's ok, but a bit awkward in places. A good bit holder is the key to not losing any torx bits!

What have you done to your Superb III today?
@Nick_HDid you treat those lovely exhaust valves to a clean? Mine are definitely louder after their post winter wash π

What have you done to your Superb III today?
I swapped out my fog light bulbs for a different design LED as my previous lamps seemed quite poor. I have the 272 engine so I am limited on lamp design due to poor access from the proximity of the additional cooler. The new lamps are bright but the throw was still quite shocking. I stumbled across an adjustment screw on each fog lamp and have now raised the height on both sides resulting in actual functioning cornering lamps! I'm a bit annoyed that I'd never actually investigated this before and I had just assumed they we're rubbish! No photos I'm afraid as I'm at work just now but worth trying if anyone else finds their functionality poor π

MY17 Superb Retrofitted with Direct TPMS
Thanks @langers2k. They are indeed direct sensors. My local garage offered to swap them between wheels for me. However, there would be the hassle of balancing both sets of wheels after swapping between wheels and the risk of damage on the diamond cut alloys π³ I think I'll look into it properly for next winter when life is perhaps a bit more normal! Fortunately the standard Skoda system is simple and wheel swapping is not an issue!

MY17 Superb Retrofitted with Direct TPMS
Ah I see thank you! My wife's car has TPMS as standard and I wanted to fit steel wheels for winter and I would need to source new sensors. I wondered if they'd need coded to the car somehow. It's a non VAG car so I was just curious as to how it worked. Thank you π

MY17 Superb Retrofitted with Direct TPMS
Excellent work! Did you need to code each sensor to its position so it knows how to display the relevant pressure?

Changing to 18" wheels on 1.4TSI Sportline.
@e-Roottoot, @MartiniB I 'think' there was some confusion from @digifish saying cheaper rubber from changing down wheel size, not as a recommendation to buy cheaper tyres which I think @dazedandconfused has maybe read it as π That's what I read it as anyway π

Changing to 18" wheels on 1.4TSI Sportline.
@MarkyG82 Was that question for me? If so, yes, it's a bit more 'sofa' like if that makes sense?! The winter tyres are obviously softer so they squirm more so that could what I feel more than anything. We've got a newborn on board now so it's very rare for me to test out the handling at the moment π But I do go the long way when I go for the food shop unaccompanied!

Changing to 18" wheels on 1.4TSI Sportline.
I've got an SEL on 18s with the same tyre size you mention above. I swap onto 17 inch alloys for winter and the comfort difference between the two is lovely! It is perfectly comfy on 18s in my opinion but 17s make it next level! I'd imagine going from 19 to 18 would feel similar to my step down.

Rear view mirror β Manual control
@JBD1974, that's the later frameless mirror. The earlier mirrors had a button underneath like @Warrior193 mentioned above. Plan A sounds like your option here I'm afraid!

What bulbs are fitted to the S3 & upgraded bulb recommendations
I think you'd be ok replacing the halogen DRL with an LED lamp. Provided it wasn't too bright of course. I think you'd just need to choose wisely; some LEDs just create a small point source of bright light whereas you'd be after a broader spread of light from the lamp housing π

Congratulations! And SEL spec is the business π I would say that though!

Risk of failure using coolant g13
This is exactly what I did myself! I bought a new tank and topped up with G12.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
I did the exact same myself. I did not however look at my mpg...just my oil temp π I'm quite enjoying the even plusher ride on the 17 inch Dunlops. It's like driving a sofa around town!

Coding Clues?
+1 here as well. I got the build sheet for my car and a heap of service manuals too. It's a great service!
