  1. I hope you feel better soon Nick 😁
  2. Thank you! I loved how understated it was πŸ˜„
  3. πŸ˜₯ https://www.cazoo.co.uk/car-details/31ac4068-7726-5522-a0b8-b5d4bf34487c/
  4. No one else has suggested it, so I'll bite....Did you look into it?! 😝 In all seriousness, I hope it's an easy fix.
  5. I'm going back to a mark 7 Golf GTI. I had one before and loved it, as did my wife. Our toddler daughter no longer requires half of the contents of our house when travelling so the tardis boot is never full anymore! I will miss the ability to look at almost any object and say, "Yes. That will fit in the car!"
  6. Well, I've been offered a trade in price for my 272 SEL Exec that I couldn't turn down. So tomorrow I'm handing over the keys to one of the online trade-in companies. This is not a for sale post, just a heads up for anyone that may be looking for one. I have loved being a part of Briskoda and I'll continue to visit as there is so much knowledge and great support here. If anyone is looking for a 2018 (MY19) business grey 272 estate/combi with 30k miles, full main dealer service history, Canton, reverse camera, spare wheel, LED interior lighting, and Pegasus wheels, keep an eye out online. (I'm using Cazoo). Also, it's one of the few 272s with the exhaust flaps πŸ˜‰
  7. This may help you 🀞
  8. Just as an additional comment; if you've disabled stop/start, it will not coast. That's the case with my MY19 272. (@Nick_H that's the 272 with exhaust flaps in case you forgot πŸ˜πŸ˜‚)
  9. 🀣 Thanks! I didn't want to remove mine if I could avoid it and managed ok. It was fiddly at times but I enjoy a challenge!
  10. Are you able to open your coolant tank and see if there's a silica bag inside? Is the colour of your coolant ok? With the heating only coming out on one side I was wondering if you had a possible coolant blockage from the silica bag failing.
  11. Sorry to hear that. I hope you are well again soon 🀞
  12. I'm glad you got it all sorted out. Something breaking (or going wrong) is always my fear before a long trip! Safe travels and hopefully there'll be a trip log like there was for Italy 😁
  13. The brakes are engine specific, not trim level/Sportline specific.
  14. Someone has pinched your seat πŸ˜‰ Thanks for the progress report, keep it up, it's great!
  15. I hope you make a full recovery soon. Enjoy your new car when the time comes 😁
  16. Multi point injection was replaced with direct injection only when moving from 280 to 272. As you already mentioned, the gpf and DQ381 are the other differences.
  17. Do all the doors lock and unlock via the remote as normal? It's not a dodgy lock on one door perhaps?
  18. Oh. I didn't know it worked that way! Sorry to hear that
  19. That shouldn't happen. You agreed on the price at the point of ordering and that's the price you'll pay. The price increase would only affect someone who orders after the price rise.
  20. For me personally I get anywhere from 30 to 38mpg. 40 if I was driving under the speed limit on a long journey. If I'm on a long journey, I tend to have the boot loaded up so the car weighs even more than normal πŸ˜‚
  21. Absolutely correct! I have a 272 (with GPF). It was delivered in November 2018 after a delay due to GPF certification. The 7 speed dsg was also implemented at the same time as the GPF.
  22. I bought them here: https://tinyurl.com/Auxito I watched the item on eBay and the seller offered me a discount after a day or so. They cost me Β£16.84 delivered.
  23. I just replaced the Philips extreme vision LEDs to the Auxito ones and what a difference! The Auxito ones are far brighter, they're fantastic. Β£16/Β£17 from EBay.
  24. All the best with your rattle-free new car 😁
  25. Oh. I don't think I can write the word I just said out loud! Hopefully the refurb place will be quick and get you a replacement with no dragging of their heels. It's not like they can deny responsibility!
