  1. Hi,

Its the Garrett pd 150 hybrid stage 2 from Cr turbo.

It sticks out the back when you try the lower pipe up to it its miles off, don't think the turbo needs turned because then the oil line will not fit.

Will try and get some pics tomorrow so you can see what like.

    Thanks.

    Trev.

It will be lined up for use on the golf. You have to slacken the small 8mm head bolts on the cold side of the turbo and rotate it till it lines up.

The oil fed pipe is on the center part of the turbo and doesnt move when you move the cold side casting. :D

  2. yours is a twin turbo....

    and i think skuds is an e46 330cd 300ft/lbs as the e90 360 ft/lbs were 330d's..

yer mine is an e46 204bhp 300lbft version. Wont be staying 204bhp for long mind. I hear its possible to get this engine to 320bhp and 450lbft. ;-) haha. but surely if i can double the power of the 1.9 tdi surely................. haha

how many gona remap a 335d and have no warranty....???? answer prob 0.1%

my mate has a 335d with a remap. boring auto though ;-)

  3. If you have a beemer then why the **** are you on this forum!! tit!!!!!

To give clowns like you information and help about skodas based on my experiances. Oh and the fact I still own an Octavia tdi elegance might have something to do with it.

I dont get on here as much as I would like, but back in the day I used to think of myself as being one of the helpful members...writing guides eg timing belt etc guides and helping other members out with their troubles.

others please dont take this thread as a fabia vrs bashing thread..... I used to worship my fabia and it was a very capable car. The aim of this thread is really just to laugh at the fool on ebay.

And yes it is true, I stuck skoda badges on my Volvo hoping it would pass for an octavia...... fail haha

T spark...... hahaha, why didnt I just buy a hybrid pd150 turbo,..... 270bhp sounds very tempting from just that! haha

  4. 40 to 70 is not 2.3 - that's a typo for sure! More like 5.3 which is probably a mis-hit on the number pad (hit one above the 2)

Mine is officially 4.1 from 30 to 70, but then mine is not exactly stock.

yes but yours doesnt count my friend, it isnt a vrs so is banned from this discussion :p

Perhaps he was thinking of 40-70 in 5/6th gear? The 330D pulls about 40mph per 1,000 doesn’t it? So it would be just above idle at the start of the timing point.

On a separate issue, How did you find your 330 in the snow? I parked my 123D up and used my little 4x4, but I want to sell that to fund a new car this year. A 330D saloon is a possibility, but I worry about being stuck again. I need to find someone who uses snow tyres on a 3 series.

255 wide rear tyres and no weight on rear end means that it is possitively hopeless in the snow, i used my octavia in the snow instead.

I will eventually this year be going down to one car, so have been looking at possible alternatives to improve grip in ice and snow. The main problem is that the smallest wheels that will fit over the 330's brakes are 17inch and most companys have limited range for 17" snow tyres. most are slim 16" tyres :(

  6. have you put an "in-line" fuel filter in? or had to change your existing one more often? (the fuel filters for my car are quite expensive, but an inline one added as extra seems quite cheap....)

my octavia runs two tanks and a coolant heat exchanger. tank one contains biodiesel and tank 2 contains mineral diesel. Starts up and shuts down on mineral and runs on bio the rest of the time. Means i can make fuel out of the cheaper palm oil and run it throughout the winter

I havent put an inline filter I just replace the filter wevr few thousand miles as they are only 6 quid ;)

I would seriously consider not putting biodiesel into a common rail engine. I have been running the volvo on a 30% blend but anymore and it doesnt like to start. that and the fact the returning fuel from the high pressure rail starts to oxidize and causes the fuel to go "off" It just doesnt save that much and the possibilty of a loss if failure occurs.....

Octavia has been running for over 20k now on 100% with no issues what so ever. It is the older low pressure VP37 bosch pump however.

  7. I've got a bit of time on my hands, and have been considering making my own fuel... may I ask what setup you use to make your own biodeisel? I've been researching to see if I can set something up in my shed!

Most of my equipement was purchased from either oilybits or the greenteam.

its really just a few 205l drums cobbled together.

The hardest part of homebrew is sourcing good quality oil. As poor oil can make life hard as you use more methanol and potassium hydroxide. Plus you spend hours filtering and end up with loads of nasty rubbish to take to the tip.

I will say something though, if you going to make it please do reseach drywashing. water washing of the fuel is time consuming and uses alot of water and creates alot of polutants . i actually drywash my fuel through a big column of oak sawdust which costs next to nothing.

  8. On my quest for the ultimate fuel (i make my own biodiesel) i have stumbled across an exciting discovery.

The actual name for the stuff in millers diesel adDitive is 2 ETHYL HEXYL NITRATE and i have a bottle of the stuff in front of me

Its sold with a name of Biotane for the imporvement of cetane levels in home made fuels but it smells identical to millers power sport 4 ;)

After testing in the volvo which runs on normal expensive pump fuel I can confirm that it does have identical improvements to the millers stuff but heres the best bit..... it costs £15 for 1l and the dilution ratio is 1ml of biotane to 1l of fuel :D

Just thought I would share this with you nice people

If anyone wants some I am sure I could get more of the stuff

  9. I know that Jason (Devonutopia) has the Highest powered Fabia on here. JabbaLuke's old one comes a close 2nd.

Mine is bog standard, (except K&N panel filter), but have had it on a RR.

    143/250 (2004) Fabia vRS

wrong, i think both mine and shiffys fabia made more than jabbasports old fabia :P

  10. hi have takem my 2005 fabia vrs to garage as is overboosting. they have done alll the tests and say sensors and waste gate are all in full working order. however they have sugested that a remap could cure this as it has done on pervious cars. yhey will map it fo 200 quid what do yu guys think??:thumbup:or :thumbdwn:

    They Are talking ****!

The pd130 doesnt even have a wastegate!

  11. I mix roughly 50/50, but erring on the side of water. (I can't be ar5ed usually to measure it out accurately) - I have a 5 litre cider container that I first fill up with water to roughly half, then top up with the methanol using a funnel. PS: Getting a bit of methanol on bare skin makes it feel a bit "tingly" and warm.... I dread to think how nasty this stuff really is! :D

    Very nasty.

Attacks the nervous system and can eventually causes blindness!

The problem with this stuff is it accumulates in the body so small doses over a period of time can be very nasty.

I have a 1000l of the stuff if anyone wants any ghaha
