Glad to see you were working hard today John!
Today we are making you matching side skirts and an even bigger front splitter.
Might even cut you some chav tastic stickers
-
:rofl::rofl:
The pics Speak for themselves,
Nice number plate by the way

More than that mate £3000 for 215bhp / £4000 for 250bhp thats just for the BHP.
Then youve got the transmission, brakes, ARB, suspension etc...
To sum it all up your looking at a grand total of £9000 to make it a seriously fast car but its worth it in my opinion if you like being an underdog.
£9000, so thats where all my money went
I was flicking through some receipts in my fabia folder the other day..... wish i had the money now

some of the above have the 280mm brakes, but the only difference is the discs and the caliper hanger, the calipers are the the same

None of you will beat my battenburged Focus with light bar and flashing headlights though!!
I suppose you would win with that
Looking very sleek and sexyThanks
PrimerWheels™ - the futureHaha, they have never seen primer color. primer isnt metallic :P
John that looks ace !How did you get on with the Black hole ?
Got a bottle here but never tried it yet.
Really good stuff Ive found. Goes on easy, buffs off easy too.
I find it blends the swirls nicely without the use of a mechanical polisher. Lasts too if you cover it with a choice wax
Overall its really good, brings out the gold flake in the paint nicely.
-
BSR are good, they are good with volvos..... thats all i am saying
-
Do many people think you are an undercover policeman, by the way? I would - black Volvo S40 looking immaculately clean.. bet you don't get any bother on the motorways
It was better when i didnt have the private plate on.
the xenons help too in the dark as they have a very blueish tint to them
My hi viz jacket works a treat though
Its actually funny really. People who arnt paying attention fly past then out of the corner of their eyes they see a "volvo" and slam on!!?
Fast lane hoggers move out of the way too which is a bonus.
-
Looking good John. Where do you get your wheels done?
Thanks Matt,
Wheels were done by myself in the garden "shed"/ workshop
used my new touch up spray gun I recently aquired
-
How the hell do you get an ovloV to look so good?
Come and show it off this coming Thursday
Thanks
They are good cars out of the factory and only need subtle changes
I am really chuffed with it, I havent broken it......... much
Over In my opinion a good solid car that will shift when it wants to and also looks ok too.
Soaks up the mileage nicely too.
I might make an apperance at the malt but its all down to the weather really :(
-
Skudmissile
you know my name :P
-
i agree, green stuff should be called brown stuff cos they are ****e
-
Simple really, get wrapped up. Then go outside and wash the car in the snow
Gave her a coat of chemical guys black hole and some nattys paste wax too.
My newly coloured wheels also feature in these pics
Feel much better now
-
Dont bother moddifing the fabia anymore, ive been there done that and got the t- shirt and wished id never bothered tbh.
Go out and buy a nice looking volvo s40 sport T5. hieco exhuast and a bsr re-map should see around 280bhp. plenty of fun and at the same time a safe car if you start a family
-
Dont buy a volvo, mine is ****e.
But its good fun in car parks. handbrake is for turning. steering wheel is for turning into direction of sideways action
-
my 2p worth (actually it'll cost a bit more than that):
SEAT front brace
Forge FMIC (ask for a quote on an extra large custom one like Dave's old car (shifty)
Ditch the EGR valve, block off the turbo (Allard's pipe with block-off plate)
Turbo Dynamics Stage 2 turbo
Uprated injectors (from apdiesels.com) - buy a set outright and flog your old ones on ebay...
Tuning by Richard Washbrook (Oscarli.com) - he knows his stuff, will map out the CEL from the EGR delete and has identically remapped mine and Mr Grumpy's Skip...Remapping the uprated injectors is tricky, Dave had some probs until Rich sorted him out...
That list should ensure you get some serious quality bhp. You may need to be careful booting it with the DMF still in there....
If you can do the work yourself you'll save quite a bit.
HTH
Bas
Mr Washbrook mapped my car too Cracking map and really nice bloke too
-
Am back now to offer my advice.
Dont get the forge Fmic, Its expensive and small i found.
Get the turbo dynmaics stage 2 garrett, the one based on the gt1749vb, same as what i had
clutch wise you might be ok with the sach one you ahve now, i had the same clutch and it withstood 381lbft nicely,
injectors i wouldnt bother with.
Mine made 248bhp on stealths rollers then we turned it down to 229bhp and it was just as quick.
Quick enough to keep up wiht an m3 but you wont be passing them.
Incidently i had a go in one the other night, my god they are machines!
save your money and buy an m3 :P

Hi guys...
Ok I want to get my Furby up to the standard where the big boys play. Around the 250BHP mark will suffice.
Everything is standard apart from the list below
Ive got this done so far
- PD160 intake + Green panel filter
- Sachs Organic clutch
- Jabba ARB
- Lowered on KW V1 coilovers
- 312mm brake upgrade
- Currently remapped
- 17" spiders (white ill have you know)
- Cupra splitter
I think I need a Hybrid turbo, FMIC, Exhaust system, SMF, LSD and possibly larger injectors.
OH.... one other thing. How can some people that tune their Furbys get up to 140 150mph. Do some of the Furbys have different gear boxes or something?????? Im very confused on this one. Mines a 05 REG if that helps anybody explain it to me.
Your honest open opinion is very welcome on this matter as I trust you guys more than SWMBO but dont tell her that lol
Tbh i wouldnt bother
i aint got time to explain right now lol but ill come back later on
- PD160 intake + Green panel filter

thread from the dead

haha 185bhp
Shifty!? have you been renting MAS performance your rolling road??
do they do one for a volvo,? i need to break the 200bhp barrier
-
At what point have I been arrogant?
Well I have got a HND and Degree in Automotive Engineering. I've spent the last 7 years working as a Design Engineer for several Tier One Automotive Companies and my weekend toy is a 600bhp Skyline engined 200sx which I built myself . . . so chances are your right. Not really arogant, more of "In your face i am better than you" Which to be honest frustrates the hell out of me.
I have a degree too, as does a very large percentage of the people here on briskoda.
At the end of the day it doesnt matter. The srings are wrong. Its nearly as bad as buying springs for a 1960 series 2a landrover and making them fit onto a 1971 volkswagen beetle................... now theres an idea if i ever had one...... a 4x4 beetle
Anyway back on topic..... Ok you want to try, fair play to ya. Just dont ask the question again and feel all defensive when the answer isnt what you wanted to hear.
Now lets all be freinds and have done with it.
Btw to the OP, nice polo

Good on ya
I am just a sweeper upper :(
I know nothing about fabias either.........
I know one thing tho, spax are ****e, their spring rates are all wrong...... do you how many different spring rates their are for the polo 9n?
Look at the different part numbers on etka for these........ should give you an idea.

At least you got a coursity car. My insurance company wouldnt insure me on a s40 1.6d s because its too much of a risk???? haha so the s40 2.0d sport i drive everyday is less of a risk. ok then
