Which Bluetooth module do I need?
If you have a black line or you probably already have Bluetooth, just needs to fit the mic and activate it with vag com. I have fitted microphones and activated two in the past. if you have a rns315 you may have it. best thing to do is take out stereo, pull trim and a couple of torx screws if there’s a Mac code on the sticker you have it ready to activate after fitting a £8 microphone. another hack with them is if it’s got the black single plug connector above the main connector it’s dab ready too with an antenna!

Amundsen + RNS315 radio
Have you got a pic of the rns315? It may have built in Bluetooth anyway that can be activated by vag com.

Tow Bar
Any mechanic can fit one easily. It will only take a couple of hours.

Dab retro fit
Swap the original antenna for one with dab built in. Then run a Fakra cable to the head unit. I have both for sale. glass mount dab antennas are garbage.

Dab antenna options?
I ended up buying a used aerial from a polo that’s got fm and dab part number 6R0035501A it’s exactly the same as fitted some Octavia that left the factory with dab. I also bought a 6m black fakra cable to connect it to the front of the car. However I destroyed the engine and sold the car. So now have bath the aerial and cable for sale.

skoda Octavia vrs blackline (2013) mk 2 map update and a few more questions (New owner) warning
I updated my sisters to v8 a few years ago. Can’t go wrong for £25. I am not far away in great Houghton. Give me a shout if you want a hand fitting a microphone and ripping out the parrot. You can sell that on then. That will probably give you the map update money.

Where are you in South Yorkshire? If you get a mic, they only cost about £8 and 15 mins to fit. I can activate the Bluetooth for you. as for the maps there’s cards available on famous online auction site. V12 is the latest.

Dab antenna options?
I am looking to put a dab headunit into my mk2 Octavia fl. it dies not come from the factory with a dab antenna. What’s the best way to do it? A splitter on the current fm antenna or replace it with another from a vag car that’s got dab and run a new cable to the headunit? If so what fits? I am not a fan of the glass stick on ones ad I found the signal poor.
