  1. You could put twin black strips running from the front to the back of the car down the middle? Not tasteful but will give you about 10bhp, then there is the briskoda sticker, bhp varies but on average about 15bhp................lol
  2. MS Design UK - Your UK Source for MS Design Car Styling and Tuning Products. for the MS Design one (

  4. I thought it might so I'm querying that, the website i'm looking at suggests they are road legal........i.e. they will pass MOT. I'll wait to hear what they say before ordering
  5. I've had my VRS for about 8 month now and looking at modifying it - i've never been bothered about modifying a car before but I saw MarkusRS's car on the bottom of this page [http://www.briskoda.net/forums/fabia/marcusrss-black-fabia-18s-wow-what-car/51962/4/] and now I plan on changing my grill to match his, change the number plate to the old style (black background, silver text) and plans are afoot for the leon splitter, pd160 air intake + green cotton air filter and depending on ebay prices, the 320mm brake kit.
  6. Mine is due a cambelt change, the kit is about
  7. Thats a mean looking machine.................very nice!
  8. Is the Fabia VRS engine the same as in the 1.9 Octy?
  9. They only need to use VAG approved parts until its out of warranty, after that you can use any thing you like, my previous car, a Golf GTi always went to the local garage who never used VAG parts but quality 3rd party items and it never missed a beat. As for the oil, DGW mentioned in a sticky thread "You must use an oil which meets specification VW 505 01. The following oils are approved to that specification:" Unfortuantly Castrol GTX isn't on the list but Castrol GTD 505 01 5W-40 is, check out the full list here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/fabia/what-engine-oil-should-i-use-my-fabia-vrs/23797/
  10. Looks like GSF are cheaper then Euro car parts, I take it they weren't VAG parts?
  11. As long as the garage who services your car uses VAG group parts or VAG approved and stamps the book then your pretty much ok. Mines due soon so i'll post back, probably next month.
  12. Telfords in Carlisle are like that, took me an age to get my Fabias bushes replaced under warranty.
  13. So the new water pumps with a metal impeller lasts longer then 60k?
  14. I thought it didn't but I read somewhere here that it needs changed but i'm not sure if my local garage knows that so i got the prices listed above as a guide. My local dealer said to change the cambelt it would be just over
  15. A guy i play football with has the 170bhp A3 oil burner, traded his 350z in for it, i can ask him about it if you want?
  16. Ahh i've only just started looking at these so I wasn't aware that there was more to it then just mounting it and fitting the pipes, thinking about it makes sense that there would be sensors attached. Can the intercooler be mounted behind the standard bumper?
  17. I use a local garage for all my servicing and apparantly its a kit that you order (tensioners etc) but i don't think it includes the water pump. Parts: WATER PUMP
  18. My budget will unfortuantly not strech to
  19. OK I phoned Telfords Skoda in Carlisle and spoke to one of their service guys and he said that on the fabia its 70k. Think i'll stick to 60k like people have recommended.
  20. Do the Cupra console bushes last longer then the vrs ones?
  21. There is a company called Allard who do a intercooler for the vrs which is a lot cheaper then the forge one. Details
  22. damn should of posted before i went out and done it! it was the brush on the top of the can that got me! lol
  23. There is nothing on the skoda website and seeing as they haven't sent out a letter indicating the new terms then people will still go by what it says in the service manual. I think it said that the petrol engine is 60k, another petrol is 70k but the diesel engines are 100k. I'm going to contact my local dealer tomorrow to see what they say, if it still is 100k then i'll prob get it done about 80k just to be on the safe side but if its 60k then it has to be done.
  24. I was reading a thread regarding the cam belt in the VRS and how it should be changed every 60,000 miles. Mine is currently on 56k but this got me a little worried as I need 4 new tyres this month :( Anyway I went to see my mechanic and I showed him in service log that it should not need changed until 100k but that someone on here recommended it to be every 60k. So my question is this; Should I get the cam belt changed at 60k or wait till something like 70k or 80k like i was planning to do? I know its an expensive mess if it does go but my car is still under warrenty till December / January so will it be covered if it does go snap? (My service book is all stamped up by a dealer)
