Wondering if anyone can recommend a good bumper protector. My dog is scratching it when she jumps into the boot.
ive seem plastic fit ones but they seem extremely expensive - around £45-70.
recommendations please!

Thanks @UrbanPanzer much appreciated.

Sorry for late jump onto this thread.
Can i I confirm them @Simoneale1973and @UrbanPanzerThat the usb mdi option doesn’t allow you to play music from your iPhone?
-
Cheers @UrbanPanzer should have said I have the standard swing radio without Bluetooth.
Was looking for a minimal cable set up to get Spotify streamed. The aux in and the 12v by the handbrake aren’t in the best positions for fm Bluetooth transmitters like I have had in previous cars.
-
Just wondering whether anyone is streaming music through a bluetooth mdi connector?
Some £90 bovee ones about and some extremely cheap £10-20 ones.
-
I’ve got a cheap fm transmitter in the Transporter at the moment but this won’t work in the Fabia because of where the 12v plug is. Apple play is a dream I won’t realise because I’m a very stingy Yorkshireman.
-
I forgot to add decent Bluetooth streaming and call capability too - for the Fabia and the Transporter.

I shopped around to find an estate one with cruise and that had the cthe engine. Rear electric windows just weren’t a popular option in either hatch or estate. I have a dog so in the summer opening the rears is going to be important.
Ive got mud flaps on order for the estate, have added some paddle extensions and will get round to considering heated seats and the rear windows when the expensive work on my Transporter is done.
-
At the moment it’s down the priority list. I also have a VWT5 and there’s lowering, remap and cruise control on that list that have to come first. As with all things it’s about money and whether it’s within my capability to diy it.
-
Obviously it’s time to put it together but you never know. Could generate some real interest.
-
I trust you’re creating a build threat on this @UrbanPanzer? great effort.

At the third attempt I’ve managed to buy a fabia estate - two previous attempts in 2017 and finally a success.
Very impressed so far with it. It’s big inside and seems to have two sides - The sedate 45-50mpg cruiser and the high reving frantic B road eater. It’s refinement on motorways seems good and it handles better on bumpy B roads than I’d have thought.
My carista app works well with it and I’ve ordered some paddle shifter extensions to make them slightly easier to use as Im finding them too stubby to use comfortably.
All in its a cracker. (So far....)

Spent a while searching cross the site and not really found much of use but can anyone point me to a guide about retrofitting rear electric windows or speak about their own experience?

And I have signed a deal on a tdi monte estate. Lovely car, great space and some nice toys so happy. I'll post separate/new thread when I actually pick the car up in a week.
Thanks to to all the advice re the vrs on this thread.

Any update?
There is a cracking CTHE Estate in Red for sale in the 'Cars for sales' section of Briskoda.
I have seen that but I need to part ex and payment would be an issue.
The vrs I originally linked has gone so out of luck there. I am off to see a tdi Monte Carlo estate this weekend though.

You folk are awesome. Thank you. Will let you know what I decide.

Pretty much yes, the estate are pretty rare (compared to the hatch) so you don't see that many for sale.
if you are near the Birmingham area, there's a chap called Tech1e and he can install cruise control (he's an ex Skoda tech I think), he's done quite a few including myself when I had my Monte Carlo.
i wouldn't say it was easy, the ECU needs opening up and a few pins installing.
If you are looking for a fabia vRS be sure to get it from a dealer, you will have 12 months warranty and make sure you monitor the oil as soon as, that way if its drinking oil it's better to get logged with Skoda U.K. sooner rather than later.
have a good look on the forums on what to look out for and stuff, there's loads. Offski's a good guy to have a chat with, he's clued up to the eye balls, he's like the ask Jeeves of briskoda.
Thanks LGM

(Even in the might be fitted stuff, like Skoda info, SAFETY, there again says FRONT FOG LIGHTS, well that is unlikely.)
So check the full service history & is there, be sure it will have a Full Service before collection,
New Spark Plugs fitted, any software update done,
and what Warranty work if any has it had,
Has an Oil Consumption test been done or any work required etc.
Test drive and enjoy and hopefully it is a cracking good one.
Be sure of a Skoda Warranty and that the Skoda Dealership puts the car to Factory Settings before you buy,
that means Software Update and Steering, Braking & XDS settings all at Factory settings.
Thank you awayoffski. I might test drive and then follow through as outlined.

Wondered if the reg rung any bells.

Interesting - so even if it's a good car your experience is that there will be problems round the corner.
28 minutes ago, LGM said:it looks like a beautiful car but lacks the gadgets :(
When you say gadgets assume you mean cruise, rear electric windows, climate control and satnav? It says it has Bluetooth (swing radio?) and I'm assuming cruise would be easy add on as it's a maxidot....

I am half tempted by this (given skoda warranty). Is this anyone's ex vehicle or does anyone know anything about it (is it a lemon?).
Thanks.

Thanks to you both @Tolpol62and @CS45 I had something similar in previous cars and didn’t want to go that far. Mind you for the money you can’t argue with it.
