  1. Love the Monte Carlo, I'll hopefully be picking mine up this week. Meteor Grey too, can't wait!
  2. That's a shame, I'm hoping to get one done by Powerflow soon. Let me know what they quote you mate. In all honesty, like I said before with my Cherry Bomb exhaust on my VW Polo (which was also a 1.2), it gave out a nice tone but nothing massive. The reason for that I'm guessing is because it was a 1.2. I'm just assuming with my Monte Carlo it should sound better.
  3. I believe that's a Photoshop'd image mate. One thing I'd suggest is buying an extra rear bumper/diffuser, however, I think I'm going to try and get the job done as professionally and accurately as possible so that I can hand the car back without any issues.
  4. That looks awesome! I'm really digging the centre twin exhaust look. Reckon it would be difficult to do?
  5. Thank you for that Malcster, although they've told me 10 days I'm expecting it to be much longer, but I hope I'm wrong!
  6. I contacted Powerflow to get a quote, surprisingly there is a branch very close to me. However, although it excites me, 8' pretty sure it'll be out of my price range haha
  7. I'm not sure when the build date is but the dealer said a couple of days ago the car won't land for another 10 days. I'm pretty sure it's the 1.2 90 (I'm thinking that because the dealer maybe put my age and insurance into consideration) but I really hope it's the 110. Yes she's brilliant, I'm extremely grateful. Great, I'll definitely be taking my dealership sticker off! When I get the car I'll try and post how it sounds etc. And what the actual spec is.
  8. Still think you're being sarcastic, but I'll take your word for it
  9. Are you being sarcastic @Damo or are you being serious? Lol
  10. Going to be hard to find dimensions of it unless someone on this site has them! I really hope it fits, it may simplify a pain.
  11. Okay... The diffuser just looks very similar to the Monte Carlo's that's why I asked. Thanks though.
  12. Could anyone tell me if the Fabia RS rear diffuser would fit on a Monte Carlo? They look very similar.
  13. I reckon a twin exhaust in the centre would look nice. This talk excites me! Keep the ideas coming!
  14. That would look brilliant if done correctly, something about cutting the bodywork makes my skin crawl. However, from what I've heard if it's done properly then it can look great. Also, in my case, when giving the car back at the end of the 3 years, if it's done well then the dealership might not care.
  15. It does indeed, as much as I'd love to purchase one of those exhaust, only one would be affordable for me unfortunately!
  16. Thanks for this information James, I'll definitely take it on board! One thing though, why do so many people have a bad image of Cherry Bombs? I have one, and it isn't overly noisy unlike some other 'chavs' who have different exhausts. It's also lasted for over a year without any problems. That's why I was looking to get one for my Skoda. But I'll definitely look elsewhere! I'm tempted to look into a custom exhaust, however, I'm not sure if it'll suit me money wise. However, if it's custom and bespoke to my car, it should ensure that it performs as best as possible and the dealership may not despise it when I give my car back at the end of the 3 years!
  17. I'm in the same boat James, right now I think I'm going to have to cut out part of my diffuser to fit the exhaust properly. Are there any exhaust back boxes that provides good sound that you recommend for an MK3 Fabia?
  18. What I've come to believe is that if you modify the car, the dealership will try and tie any problems the may arise to that modification. In all honesty, though, I'd expect Skoda's new cars to be very reliable, considering I currently have a 15-year-old VW Polo, which I added a new exhaust to, there haven't been any major engine problems. That's the way I'm rationalising it in my head if and when I choose to modify my new Skoda. This may not have helped you, apologies! But I'm sure someone here could help you.
  19. Thanks for being understanding, I was expecting a patronising answer; I appreciate it. It should be okay, but I'll definitely look into all of that when I get the car. I'm hoping the fact that it's a new car won't increase my insurance premium by too much, but it probably will. If it's a lot, then I'll probably have to reconsider modifying the car at all. I can't wait to keep you guys documented on this whole thing, hopefully, it'll help someone like me who doesn't know what to do.
  20. Honestly, the reason I chose the Monte Carlo is because it looked nicer than the normal Fabia that my Aunt (who is helping with payments) wanted me to get. That's why I didn't choose a "sporty car". After all, I'm only 19, and it's a massive deal for me to have my first new car. In all honesty, I probably won't be spending hundreds "tarting" it up, all I really want is a nice sounding exhaust; as I said before, when I get the car I may end up feeling like an exhaust isn't really necessary. I've just started this thread so I know my options if I decide to do so.
  21. Is there any specific reason you chose Powerflow dealer? I'm not sure if there is any in my country. Did you choose them because they are 'Skoda Certified' or something?
  22. I've been looking online, there doesn't seem to be an aftermarket rear diffuser with exhaust cut out, however, I would be tempted to just purchase one in order to cut it, but they're quite pricey and I don't know if it's worth the hassle.
  23. Fair enough, you think the dealership would go crazy at me for doing it though? Haha.
  24. Not that I'm aware of, but I'll definitely take a look. I don't have the car yet, still a few weeks away. Dealer said yesterday it won't land here for another 10 days.
  25. Great stuff, I did contact the company I'd be buying an exhaust off and they said if I provide them with the dimensions etc. then they could possibly make it fit the Monte Carlo without cutting the rear diffuser. I'm trying to minimise any possible damage as I'm 'leasing' the car.
