  1. 🤔 Was CANTON sound system ever available for Fabia-III ? 🤔
  2. Actually 2 completely different and independent problems. * 1. Problems are with the factory fitted pistons piston ring groove design and piston ring design ( poor and wrong design ). ----> Solution. Install completely new pistons with a different design of both piston ring grooves and piston rings. No problems with the conrods. * 2. Fit a new timing chain with all associated wear parts. .
  3. Octavia-2 FL ( 2009-2013 ) Which cable is for the high beam signal ? Someone who might even have a wiring diagram of the cables that go to the headlight ? ( 14-pin connector in/out of the headlight ) Car has: * Low beam: XENON * High beam: Halogen H7
  4. According to my local VAG-dealer, it is not as simple as a number suffix. Both part numbers are updated and valid. So something is different on the inside of the PCV-valve, but what and why ? 🤔
  5. Sorry to say, but it's not really that simple. Both part numbers are active and valid, they do not replace each other.
  6. Wife has a ( 2012 ) Octavia-II with EA888-II TSI engine. The car works incredibly well, but drinks a lot of oil. ( I only put 100 % fully synthetic oil 5w-40 in it. ) Was thinking of changing the PCV-valve to see if it gets a little better, ...But the latest updated version of the PCV-valve are available in 2 different versions from VAG-dealers with 2 different part numbers ! 😵 Even my SKODA dealer didn't know the difference and which one I should have on the car 😵 According to the member TheClient here on the forum, the only difference between them is that one of them has one internal non-return valve and that the other version has two internal non-return valves. 1. Which part number represents which version ? 2. Which one should I choose and why ? 3. Advantages and disadvantages ? 4. Anything else that is good to replace at the same time as replacing the PCV-valve ? 🤔 # 06H 103 495 AH # 06H 103 495 AJ
  7. The rubber diaphragm in the stock Diverter Valve broke today. Is this a good type/choice of DV to replace with ? Anyone here have any experience with any of these ? * GFB → ~145 £ * No Name → 44 £
  8. We have been on a 6000 Km summer holiday trip with the car and during the trip there has been more and more a clear noise during heavy braking. When braking hard from high speed, an unpleasant noise enters the passenger compartment. The sound only appears when the speed decelerates between 110~80 Km/h. No noise at higher speed and no noise at lower speed during braking. The sound is very similar to the noise that occurs if you have warped brake discs wooow wooow wooow wooow wooow...... ( But the discs are definitely not warped ) Absolutely no vibrations or shaking in the car. Right front tire is very very lightly feathered on the outside. ( Good Year Efficient Grip-2 , 225/50 x 17" ) Total mileage on car: 180 000 Km. 🤔 Any ideas on what could be wrong ? 🤔
  9. 1.8 TSI / 2.0 TSI 4x4 The wife's car has suddenly started to make a "buzzing" noise/sound after turning the car off. Can last up to about 2 minutes. The noise seems to be coming from the electric fuel pumps in the tank !?!? What and why has it suddenly started making this buzzing sound ?
  10. I have trouble to understand what is going on with the actuator on my K03 My cracking pressure with the actuator arm connected to the wastegate is only: 0,21 Bar / ~3.0 psi ...So if I change/adjust the setting of the lock nuts on the actuator arm so cracking pressure rises to factory setting: 0,37 Bar / ~5.36 psi it will automatically also change the preload of the spring. How should I think about this ? 🤔 Should the focus be on getting the correct preload at rest or should the focus be on getting the right cranking pressure ? 🤔 .
  11. 👍 Great info ! 👍 Sticker on the cam chain cover says that the engine itself is manufactured in November 2011 ( Now if this information can be of any use. ) Engine is: 1.8 TSI ( Octavia-II SCOUT 1.8 TSI ) So if I understand you and the other thread correctly, the only difference is an extra check valve in one of the PCV's versions... ( ....The way I think, it should be better to have an extra check valve for the crankcase ventilation. ) # 06H 103 495 AH 🥴 # 06H 103 495 AJ 🥴 ....Conclusions just to clarify things: 1. Which of the versions has 1 check valve ? 2. Which of the versions has 2 check valves ? 🥴

( I only put 100% fully synthetic oil 5w-40 in it. ) Was thinking of changing the PCV-valve to see if it gets a little better, but it comes in 2 different versions that are apparently not interchangeable. The latest updated version of the PCV-valve are apparently available in 2 different models from VAG-dealers with 2 different part numbers ! 😵 Even my SKODA dealer didn't know the difference and which one I should have 🤔 Anyone here know what physically separates the 2 different PCV-valves for this engine ? 🤔 🤔 Anything else that is good to replace at the same time as replacing the PCV-valve ? 🤔 # 06H 103 495 AH # 06H 103 495 AJ
